My experience with Wet n Wild Blue Color Icon Shimmer Pencil:

I had wanted to try out Wet N Wild products for a really long time but had never really gotten to do so because Wet N Wild is not available in India that easily. So when I spotted these Color icon eye pencils by Wet N Wild, I picked one without wasting any time.

The color icon pencil comes in a sleek and slender pencil-like packaging, because well, it is an eye pencil. The packaging is a dark blue and so is the color of the cap. The pencil is wooden with a plastic covering. The pencil is travel-friendly because it won’t take up much space in the vanity kit.

The name of this shade is blue itself so it is quite clear that it is a blue eye pencil. It is one of the darkest blue eye pencils I have tried, so much so that it appears almost like black. it has very minute glitter particles which are visible only under broad daylight, otherwise the glitter particles just impart a kind of glossy finish to the eye pencil. I am not really impressed with the formula of the eye pencil. I brought it without swatching at the store and just by my instincts about Wet nWild being a reputed brand and I must say when I got home and swatched this eye pencil, I was rather disappointed. The pencil feels downright harsh when applied and the application itself is kind of hard because the texture is nowhere close to being smooth. I like my eye pencils creamy and smooth and this eye pencil is the complete opposite. The pigmentation though is not a problem because two swipes of this pencil give a dark blue color but like I said, the pencil is kind of hard to apply because it is not smooth in texture, the pigmentation does not matter. I wouldn’t even dare wearing this pencil on my waterline because it feels so harsh. I have worn this eye pencils all of two times and that too on my eye lids. The staying power is fine. It stays for around 5 hours though it does make my eye lids slightly oily. It is not smudge proof or waterproof.

Pros of Wet n Wild Blue Color Icon Shimmer Pencil:

• One of the most affordable eye pencils out there.
• It is by far the darkest blue eye pencil I have owned.
• Contains fine glitter particles that give the pencil a slightly glossy finish.
• It is a jumbo length eye pencil so quantity wise, it is value for money.
• It has a decent pigmentation.

Cons of Wet n Wild Blue Color Icon Shimmer Pencil :

• The texture is not at all smooth.
• It feels very harsh when applied.
• Not smudge proof or waterproof.
• Contains glitter particles so people who don’t like that can skip it.

Will I repurchase/ do I recommend Wet n Wild Blue Color Icon Eye Pencil ?

No and no.

Though it is a very affordably priced eye pencil and has a decent color payoff, it is not at all smooth and actually feels very harsh. Skip this!
