The product that I am reviewing today is a glitter eyeshadow from Wet n Wild Beauty. I picked up four shades from the range – Distortion, Vice, Spiked and Bleached. Read on further details on this shade “Spiked.”

My Take on Wet n Wild Color Icon Spiked Glitter Single:
Wet N Wild Colour Icon Glitter Eyeshadow in “Spiked” comes in a small, black, sleek compact with pan and clear cover. The bottom of the packaging carries ingredients list and the shade name is written on a label on the top. The packaging is sturdy and looks nice. It is light and travel safe. Removing the seal stickers is quite a tacky job and the clear cover opens with a slight pull. I injured my nail while trying to open the shade “Vice.” In a nutshell, the packaging is the only positive in Wet N Wild Colour Icon Glitter Eye Shadow’s entire range.
The formula is weirdly creamy, oily and slimy due to the presence of soya bean oils and wax in the ingredients. Now, who uses soya bean oil in eyeshadows?! The texture is entirely a failure. The eyeshadow is extremely slippery. It has a rough and coarse texture because the glitter is chunky with a thick and sticky formula. It feels like a lot of glitter has been mixed with oil and wax! Also, Wet N Wild Colour Icon Glitter Eye Shadow starts melting when exposed to hot weather.
The most puzzling thing is that on the back of the eyeshadow it’s mentioned that it’s suitable for face and body only. I wonder what they mean by face because this is an eyeshadow product, but when the gleam slips in a couple of minutes the harsh sparkle particles get into the eyes causing tears to roll down the cheeks. I think this is formulated as a body glitter. It has no smell though, but the formula is rubbish and they are completely dispensable; good for nothing actually. The abrasive glitter cannot be even used on body with this thick texture.
“Spiked” is a pure silver sparkle eyeshadow with very thick texture. It has great pigmentation but you need a generous swatch forgetting the product on fingers or tools. It is not safe for eye zone application and staying power is merely half hour. The product takes a lot of effort to remove, no matter how much makeup remover you utilize.

- Not safe for eyes because coarse glitter slips into and enters eye area, causing tears.
- 30 minutes wearing time is extremely poor.
- Good for nothing because of slippery formula.
- Very oily texture.
- Very difficult to get rid of the glitter.
