I hope all of you are doing well regardless of where on the globe you are at the moment. I bring to you another review for an eye liner pencil today, I have already reviewed a few shades from this line. I think because these are so inexpensive, I keep going back to buy more because when something is so cheap, it is wonderful to experiment with it. Sometimes that can be a bit of a miss though, just like this shade has been for me. I am sorry to ruin the review before I have even begun, but it just had to be said! Putting all that aside, let me tell you why.

Wet n Wild eye liner pencils have been around forever and have helped every teen girl step into that wonderful world of makeup. Wet n Wild also had a collection of brow and eye liner pencils and one particular one was called Taupe. Now, these pencils that I am introducing you to are the new and recently launched collection of eye liner kohl pencils from this company and they have completely changed up their line. This particular shade “Taupe of the Morning” (love the play on words here) is a new version of the same Taupe that has basically been given a face lift.

USD 0.99 for 1.4 gram or 0.04 oz of product. I believe some people have managed to buy this product for even cheaper using coupons, but I however have not been so lucky!

My Experience with Wet n Wild Coloricon Kohl Eyeliner in Taupe Of The Morning:

This was a pencil that did not stand out to me in any way, but I just picked it up on a visit to the drug store because I had been trying so many other shades from this line.

Packaging: This sleek pencil is quite long, much longer than your average eyeliner pencil and resembles a skinny chopstick. I often play around and stick it in my hair but it is quite sturdy and has not snapped. The clear plastic cover is also resilient and has not cracked during my rough handling of it. It secures well and is quite easy to pull open.

Shade: The colour “Taupe of the Morning” is kind of a burnt n*de brown and the annoying thing about this pencil is that the swatches of it photograph very differently from different angles and in different lights. I have still tried my best to represent the colour accurately.

Pigmentation: This shade has a decent amount of pigmentation and easily delivers colour in two swipes. The colour however is the issue and even though I initially thought this to be a weird colour for an eye liner pencil, I slowly realized that this was the substitute shade for a previous eyebrow pencil. I think that this shade would work really well as a brow pencil for people with naturally light brown or blonde hair. As an eyeliner, it just looks really weird and ashy on my skin tone and it does show up when I use it on my eyelids, but just continues to look weird. I do however like the nude look it provides me on my waterline.

Staying Power:  This pencil is really creamy and easy to apply. It literally glides on with absolutely no drag and lasts for several hours without rubbing off easily. This is easy to smudge as soon as it is applied, but if you wait a few minutes, then this dries and sets, and will not budge.

There are no funky smells to this eye pencil. It has not irritated my skin and does not flake or cause any itching or dryness. This is a shade that is very easy to apply and has worked well for me under eye shadow to help enhance the colour of a n*de eye. In this particular way of use, it has not creased either. This has also been wonderful to use on my oily lids and has not caused any problems. The main problem I have is the actual shade of this eye liner pencil, which is not much of an eye liner, but actually a brow pencil and so it does not suit me and I do not have much use for this.

• Can be used as an eye liner and brow pencil.
• Does not tug.
• Applies smoothly.

Cons of Wet n Wild Coloricon Kohl Eyeliner in Taupe Of The Morning:

• This shade will not suit everyone as an eyeliner.

Would I Repurchase Wet n Wild Coloricon Kohl Eyeliner in Taupe Of The Morning?
No, because I have no use for this shade and it does not suit me.

Do I Recommend Wet n Wild Coloricon Kohl Eyeliner in Taupe Of The Morning?
If you have light brown hair or blonde hair and are looking for a brow pencil then this is exactly what you need because it is exceptionally waxy and will work amazing on your brows. I have tried it for my brows too and it is just a tad light, but I do use it occasionally for that purpose. Else, you can skip it.
