Wet N Wild 911D Stoplight Red Rouge Lipstick Review

Hi All,

Hope everyone here is doing wonderful.  I gave a short visit to my aunt’s house last week and got some presents from her and the product I am going to review about, today, is one among them.  This is a very bright-colored lipstick that I got from her. The color is wonderfully bright and looks so delicious; I was really happy with it and was awfully eager to try it on.

Going by the color and packaging, I presumed it to be an awesome product, but it’s very disappointing for me to say that its not as good as it seems.  It comes in a regular twist-up case, with a black body and a transparent plastic cap that closes with a “tick” sound.  The red looks wonderful and it has a very light scent with the lipstick bullet having the slanted tip, as usual.  The biggest complaint I have is that its way too much dry.  I have to literally rub it on my lips, it does not glide smoothly.

Then, it transfers too easily. However, if you are applying any gloss over it, then it wouldn’t seem to be so dry. Although one thing which is really commendable is its lasting power. It starts to fade in around 3-4 hours and leaves a pinkish tint behind which is absolutely fantastic.

Product Description:

Lips take center stage! This 4-hour, long wearing lip color leaves a semi-matte, crème finish in one stroke. Glides on easily with rich, velvety color that doesn’t cake, feather, or bleed.  Made with hydrating skin-care ingredients: Hyaluronic Microspheres provide extraordinary adhesion to lips, an exclusive polymer complex offers cushion-like feel and texture, and natural marine plant extracts Coenzyme Q10 and Vitamins A and E help smooth lips.

Final Verdict on Wet N Wild 911D Stoplight Red Rouge Lipstick:

The color of the lipstick is what I absolutely loved. In addition, the staying power is wonderful as well, but the lipstick is really dry and doesn’t moisturize the lips at all. But, as I mentioned earlier also, if you are applying with some lip gloss, then it’s perfectly fine, but after a few hours, it starts settling into the fine lines of the lips, hence touch-ups with lip gloss becomes essential.  I don’t know the exact price as I said it was a gift from my aunt. I checked it online and it says different prices, it ranges from $2 to $6.49, but since I found amazon.com’s price to be more reliable, so I mentioned that. In a nut shell, I am not impressed with this lipstick.

Do I Recommend Wet N Wild 911D Stoplight Red Rouge Lipstick?

I will definitely not “buy” it whatsoever. Thank God, it was a gift.  I wouldn’t recommend it either as there are plenty of other brands selling better quality of lip colors, although the color is really appealing.

Liked the tip end of this lipstick…:) Its different from those common looking pointed tips. Also I love those flat end angled tips, like that of Lakme 9 to 5 lipsticks.

U can apply a lip balm before you apply the lipstick. You wont feel the dryness much. I have got around 14/15 of them and I absolutely love the colors and staying power.
