Schwarzkopf Extra Care Moisture Enrich Shampoo
It’s been so long since I posted a review. And being loyal to this brand, this is my third review on Schwarzkopf. My hair has always been a problem. Finding the right product is almost like a treasure hunt. You will be the luckiest person if you find something that feels like it has been especially made for you, be it for skin or hair. It feels divine, doesn’t it? But how would I know that 🙂 . So recently I have started searching best hair care products and Schwarzkopf is a very widely known brand when it comes to hair care products.
I found this shampoo on sale online and the description looked promising. But when searched for a review of it, guess what, there was none! Not a single review worldwide. That made me suspicious about it and I am glad that I am providing its first review.

My Take on Schwarzkopf Extra Care Moisture Enrich Shampoo:
The shampoo comes in an off white bottle with a blue flip cap. It is made in Australia and might not be available in stores in India, but it can be bought online.
It contains almond oil and castor oil, both of which are known for moisturizing and hydrating benefits. It also contains alcohol which is known for imparting shine to hair. Hence, hydration and shine. It contains Sodium Laureth Sulphate (SLES) which is less harmful than Sodium Lauryl Sulphate (SLS) but yet harmful.
This shampoo is white in color and has a runny consistency. It smells a bit like alcohol, I guess, not that I know how alcohol smells, but it smells bad. It foams up really well. Apply it to wet hair and always wash your hair with cold water, it makes it more shiny and soft. It cleanses hair really well. I always shampoo my hair after I have applied oil a night earlier, it’s a regular routine. It cleans up the oil too, so it is a good cleanser. It does leave my hair shiny and soft without a conditioner, but the same can be achieved if you apply a nice conditioner with a decent shampoo.
But, as the description claimed, I did not notice any exceptional changes to my hair in the first few washes. But when used regularly, I did see a change. My hair was soft and shiny even after 3 days of wash!
So, no immediate results with this and no exceptionally good results after a few days too. It makes my hair good but not very GOOD!
Pros of Schwarzkopf Extra Care Moisture Enrich Shampoo:
- Contains castor oil and almond oil.
- Contains SLES, less harmful.
- Leaves hair a little soft and shiny after continues usage.
- Little quantity required to wash medium length hair.
Cons of Schwarzkopf Extra Care Moisture Enrich Shampoo:
- Smells weird
- Expensive
- Not very true to its claims
- Not suitable for very dry hair
- Available only online

Would I Repurchase Schwarzkopf Extra Care Moisture Enrich Shampoo?
No. It isn’t a nice shampoo for its price and false claims. I have finished 2/3rd of the bottle but have not yet managed to finish the rest.
Conclusion:
I had very high hopes with this shampoo because of such a promising brand. But it just failed my expectations. My hair is fine and dry, any suggestion for a nice shampoo are welcome, because I am in a dire need of it. Schwarzkopf has some very nice products, but this shampoo is just not for my hair. I will keep searching and will let you all know when I find something that is just meant for my hair.
