This is not my original quote. It was actually first said by the Creative Makeup Director of Estee Lauder, Tom Pecheux. I am not a big fan of lip glosses. Lip stains are rather, my favored ones, where liquid lipsticks with applicators are concerned. And there is a reason for that. Mostly I have found lip glosses to be very shimmery, difficult to remove, stays on less, and extremely drying on my lips. I don’t know, maybe I have chosen only the wrong ones; but these wrong ones have steered me clear off the path of lip glosses. Recently, I had a light day makeup done by a SA at Estee Lauder; and she applied this lip gloss on my lips. The results were practically amazing; so much so that I returned the very next day to purchase this particular lip gloss.

My Experience with Estee Lauder Brazen Berry Pure Color Gloss:

This lip gloss has radically changed my outlook towards lip glosses. I am totally in love with this lip gloss.
The lip gloss comes in the typical navy blue box packaging of Estee Lauder. It has a window towards the bottom, through which the shade can be seen, Also the shade name as well as other information are all mentioned on the outer box packaging. Inside, the lip gloss comes in a square shaped glass tube with a doe foot applicator. The applicator is coated metallic golden on the outside hold, with the brand logo engraved all over it. Old World Class.Superb.

The doe foot applicator is immersed in color, and the applicator hugs very closely on to the lips, making application very easy indeed. The lip gloss is extremely smooth to wear, even on non-prepared lips. It does not bleed at all. The lip gloss has a typical old woman scent; a fruity fragrance, which is not unappealing at all. In fact, I like it…but to the most sensitive noses; don’t worry, it does not stay.The shade Brazen Berry is a sheer, cool toned medium pink, which would suit most skin tones, except, darker skin tones. But, the gloss is quite sheer, hence even the darker skin toned may wear this on top of any lipstick, and it will just enhance your looks.

The lip gloss is not very pigmented. It is actually quite a light to medium shade of pink. On the arm swatch, it does deliver color, however, on the lips, when you spread it out and purse your lips, it will only enhance and bring out the natural pink tone of your own lips. In the lip swatch, I am wearing in on top of another lipstick stain; which I will be reviewing next. The gloss has superb shine, and looks extremely glamorous on the lips. It does not have any chunky shimmery particles at all. The texture of the gloss is light to medium. It does feel quite comfortable on the lips. It is totally non- sticky. It provides immediate fullness to the lips. It gives intense moisturisation to the lips. Every time you purse your lips together, the moisture just seeps out…..and re-heals your lips. Without meals, it just stays on and on….I have used it for 5-6 hours with light meals in between, and the gloss, along with the moisture ….. has remained intact.

• The shade is a beautiful, light to medium cool toned pink
• Gives an intense shine to the lips

• Makes the lips appear fuller
• Does not dry out the lips at all.
• Does not feel sticky
• Feels very comfortable
• Stays on for 5-6 hours, with light meals in between
• Can be clubbed with many different lipstick shades

Cons of Estee Lauder Brazen Berry Pure Color Gloss:

• Expensive
• Limited availability
• Not heavily pigmented on its own…will only bring out your natural lip freshness (but then, it’s a lip gloss…not a stain).
• Will not hide pigmented lips.

Yes, I will definitely recommend this…to all of you. There are many shades available…you may choose any…but the formula nd texture is just superb.
