My Experience with YSL Babydoll Kiss & Blush – No 3 Rose Libre

I love love love YSL. I have multiple products from them and their blush and and lip stains are my absolute favorite makeup of all time. Hence, I had high expectations from this product particularly and for $40 who won’t have high expectations. I must say YSL knocked it out of the ball park for me and blew me away as usual.

The YSL kiss and blush comes in a beautiful square bottle which totally resembles a nail polish bottle. The bottle looks like glass but it is actually sturdy plastic hence lightweight. This product has a very unique applicator which I have not seen with any other product. It is petal shaped with a small dent in the middle where the product is saturated the most. Both sides of the applicator disperses product unlike traditional lip gloss wand where product is situated only on one side.

The product is very easy to apply using this applicator and gives even coverage. Since both sides can be used to apply I do feel you get enough products to use with one dip inside the bottle.For the cheeks, you just need 2-3 dots of the wand and to blend you can use your fingers or a stipple brush, both works excellent. The product with its mouse like texture blends like a dream and virtually sinks into the skin. No residue can be felt on the skin after it sets within seconds. It gives a beautiful flush and color to the skin and looks very natural. The color is easily buildable.

The soft matte finish and the lack of shimmer make it a great to go product for any and every look. Even though its matte and shimmer less its does not look flat or one dimensional. It does give a nice beautiful glow to the cheeks.

The color Rose Libre is a very light cool toned baby pink. It looks much darker on the bottle hence one can be deceived. This shade may wash some skin tones out but it does work with my skin tone and looks beautiful when paired with a dark smokey eye and even with soft everyday natural makeup. On the lips it does not feel sticky. It feels very lightweight and fades evenly.

Staying power on the cheeks is very good, lasts all day on me without touch-ups. On lips it stays for about 4-5 hours, does survive through snacks but eating or drinking makes it fade faster.This product does not have any strong scent.
