My Experience with Yves Rocher Anti-Recurrence Dandruff Shampoo:
This shampoo contains pomegranate peel extracts. I never knew that the peel was also filled with so much goodness. I just googled and was surprised to read the benefits. Did you know that it’s anti-bacterial, anti-ageing and much more? This shampoo actually works in getting rid of dandruff since the pomegranate peel is rich in antioxidants and helps to keep bacteria and infections at bay. The fact that 98% of ingredients in this shampoo are botanical made me pick this product.
The packaging is not very fancy. It’s basic but sturdy. The shampoo comes in a green coloured bottle which has a brown coloured flap lid, giving it a botanical look. The lid is very secure and can never open accidentally, making it travel-safe. The flap lid is a little difficult to open if the hands are wet. It can easily damage my nails, so I tend to avoid using my nails to open the bottle. I sometimes even use my teeth. The bottle is made of recyclable plastic and hence is environmental-friendly.
The consistency of the product is liquid and transparent. I use a small amount of this shampoo for my shoulder length hair. A little goes a long way. The shampoo lathers very well. The fragrance is mild and fresh. I love the fragrance! The fragrance does not last long, though. I could feel the fragrance for maximum one hour after the shower and not more than that. The shampoo leaves the hair very clean. When washing out the shampoo itself, one can notice the goodness of this shampoo.
My hair feels very soft and smooth. The scalp is so clean after use and dandruff slowly reduces over time. The shampoo is free of silicones, parabens and colour. It is free of SLS but contains ALS. ALS is not as bad as SLS. ALS molecule is complex and large. So, ALS does not/can not penetrate into the skin or damage the skin. Due to this, ALS is less irritating to the scalp compared to SLS. I use the conditioner from the same line and the results are amazing.
One can see the results from the first use. I do not think I will go back to any drugstore shampoo again. Overall, it’s a great product and I am totally loving it. I normally wash my hair twice a week and switch shampoos. I have been using this for a few weeks now and I love the results. My hair feels so much shinier and the scalp is so much cleaner. Botanical products have controlled my hair fall, for sure.
