Yves Rocher Botanical Hair Care Nutri-Silky Treatment Shampoo Review

Hello everyone,

Today’s review is about Yves Rocher Botanical Hair Care Nutri-Silky Treatment Shampoo. I have been using this shampoo for the past few weeks now and I never knew that oats are so good for hair. Oats happen to be my staple breakfast. I am so glad that I can now reap the benefits of oats for my hair too. I recently read about the goodness of oats for hair on IMBB and was like, “Yes, I have chosen the right shampoo”. I am talking about THIS hair mask. Oats happen to control hair loss and also strengthen hair. Oats also add that extra shine and I totally can vouch for it. The fact that 98% of ingredients are botanical made me pick up this product. I have been facing hair fall and wanted to try out natural shampoos.

My Experience with Yves Rocher Botanical Hair Care Nutri-Silky Treatment Shampoo:

The packaging is not very fancy. It’s basic but sturdy. It comes in a green colored bottle which has a brown colored flap lid, giving it a botanical look. The lid is very secure and can never open accidentally, making it travel-safe. The flap lid is a little difficult to open if your hands are wet. It can easily damage my nails, so I tend to avoid using my nails to open the bottle. I sometimes even use my teeth to open it. The bottle is made up of recyclable plastic and hence is eco-friendly.

The consistency of the product is liquid. I use a small amount of this shampoo for my shoulder length hair. A little goes a long way. The shampoo is pearly white and it lathers very well. The fragrance is mild and fresh. I love the fragrance! The fragrance does not last long, though. I could feel the fragrance for maximum one hour after the shower and not more than that. The shampoo leaves the hair very clean. When washing out the shampoo itself, one can notice the goodness of this shampoo. My hair feels very soft and smooth.

The shampoo is free of silicones, parabens and color. It is free of SLS but contains ALS. ALS is not as bad as SLS. ALS molecule is complex and large. So, ALS does not/can not penetrate the skin and damage skin (scalp). Due to this, ALS is less irritating to the scalp compared to SLS. I use the conditioner from the same line and the results are amazing. One can see the results from the first use.

Hair feels very soft, tangle free and a lot shinier. I do not think I will go back to any drugstore shampoo again. The product contains marigold extracts and it’s supposed to result in shiny hair. Overall, it’s a great product and I am totally loving it. I normally wash my hair twice a week and switch shampoos. I have been using this for a few weeks now and I love the results. My hair feels so much shinier and healthier. I have also noticed that using botanical products has reduced hair loss to some extent.
