Za Perfect Fit Liquid Foundation Review

Product purchased by IMBB

Hello everyone:

When it comes to face makeup, I prefer BB creams over foundations for daily use. I restrict myself from using foundations on a daily basis, but I was really intrigued by the water-based formula of Za OC30 Perfect Fit Liquid Foundation that I instantly got it on behalf of IMBB. Let us get straight to the review.

My Take on Za OC30 Perfect Fit Liquid Foundation:

At first, I was very disappointed about the fact that it’s expensive for the tiny quantity provided. The foundation comes in a little beige-colored bottle with a silver mirror screw cap. The plastic bottle came inside a plastic outer pack that contained all the details about the product. The bottle is simple and travel friendly.

There are only 6 shades to choose from and I chose OC30, which is supposedly the darkest shade in the range. I have fair skin, for reference. This shade is a perfect match for my fair skin and sits comfortably. I think most of you would not find your match owing to the limited shade selection. All of them are very light and too pink for Indian skin tones.

I have been having issues of oily skin from a few months now and so water based formulas has been working well. The foundation is very liquid-y but not too runny. You can easily make out that the formula is water based. It is very easy to blend into skin. A foundation brush is barely required if you are looking for sheer coverage.

Normally, I like sheer to medium coverage so I tend to use my finger tips. It does not feel cakey, patchy or heavy even if it is layered. But, it tends to highlight the dry flakes area, so a moisturizer is required prior to application. The added bonus is that it comes with an SPF of 17 PA++.  It does not creases once it sets and it easily gets settled onto the skin. I like that it does not clog my pores and gives my face a luminance and radiant look.

One thing, I did not like is the dewy finish it gives because I already have an oily skin so I would have preferred a matte look. Although, the dewy finish looks good and it is not too much. However, the sebum secretion starts after about 2-3 hours of wear. Also, my skin sweats when I step out in the sun. I am in a sort of a love-hate relationship with Za OC30 Perfect Fit Liquid Foundation. I guess Lakme does have some water-based foundations too at the lower price range. I would recommend giving it a thought before deciding to invest some big bucks on this one.

Would I Recommend/Re-purchase Za OC30 Perfect Fit Liquid Foundation
I would recommend this to all oily-skinned beauties who would want a change from the regular Lakme ones. I do not think, I would get it again considering the steep price.

  1. I was also checking this range out the other day and I totally agree the shades are not really meant for many skin tones. I could not find my match and in fact am glad that I didn’t after reading your review. A foundation that makes you sweat is a total nono!
