10 Face Masks for Healthy Skin

Hope you guys find my posts on natural remedies helpful. Here I am with yet another post with the benefits of all natural and easily accessible home remedies to achieve healthy and glowing skin. I am someone who would grab a homemade mask any given day over the ones available in the market.

So here’s a list of ten easy face masks that you can find right off your kitchen counters.

1. Face Mask for Firm Skin:

Mix two teaspoons of ground coffee powder with one teaspoon of honey and apply this all over your face. Leave it to dry as long as you can and wash off with warm water. If used consistently, this mask helps in tightening and firming of your skin.

2. Face Mask for Anti-ageing:

To maintain the youthful glow of your skin, use this anti-aging mask at least twice a week. Mix one teaspoon of egg white with two teaspoons of pure aloe vera gel. Mix the two well and apply this mixture all over your face and leave it until dry. Once dry, wash off with warm water. Doing this consistently can maintain the elasticity of your skin.

3. Face Mask for Blackhead Removal:

To deal with those stubborn black heads, mix one egg white with two teaspoons of fresh lemon juice and apply a generous layer over the affected areas, once dry, gently peel it off and you can see the black heads stuck on to the peeled layer. Wash off with cold water.

4. Face Mask for Clean Pores:

Mix equal amounts of fresh yogurt and oatmeal and apply this as a mask. Once dry, gently scrub it off to get rid of all the dirt and gunk in the skin pores. Doing this at least once a week will make sure your skin does not accumulate excess oil and dirt in the pores.

5. Face Mask for Glowing Skin:

To add a healthy shine and glow to your skin, mix one teaspoon of pure coconut oil with one-fourth teaspoon of turmeric and massage your skin gently in circular motions with this mixture for a few minutes and leave the mask on until it dries. Once dry, wash off with cold water. Observe an instant glow on your skin.

6. Face Mask for Pigmented Skin:

Mix fresh yogurt with equal parts of fresh lemon juice and use this as a face mask to deal with dull skin. This face mask will help you get rid of pigmentation if used regularly. Yogurt also helps in soothing dull and tired skin thus pampering your skin.

7. Face Mask for Clear Skin:

This one is the most common and the best one in Indian households, mix a teaspoon of gram flour with half a teaspoon of honey and a few drops of lemon. Apply this as a mask all over your face and neck. Sit back and relax until the mask dries off. Wash off with warm water once dry, do this twice a week to see considerable change in your skin, you will find your skin smoother, softer and free of dark spots.

8. Face Mask for Dry Skin:

To add instant moisture to your dry and dull skin, mash half a ripe banana and mix it with a teaspoon of honey. Mix well and apply this as a mask. Wash off with cold water once dry. You will be left with instantly moisturized supple skin.

9. Face Mask to Brighten Skin:

Mix the pulp of one tomato and two teaspoons of fresh milk and apply this as a mask for instant bright skin. Tomato acts as a wonderful tan removal agent and milk is known to work wonders on pigmentation if used consistently.

10. Face Mask for Oily Skin:

This one should be the best bet, when it comes to people with oily skin. Use a mask of fuller’s earth or multani mitti, mix it with some fresh yogurt and lemon juice. Apply it generously and let it dry before you wash it off with cold water. Multani mitti helps in removal of excess oil and tends to reduce the sebum production.
