Having soups is an another healthy way to shed off extra fat and get a well-toned body. Red lentils are comforting and easily available kitchen ingredient to prepare soup. You need the following ingredients to prepare this:
• 1 tablespoon olive oil
• 1 large carrot cut in slices
• 1 small yellow onion, chopped in slices
• 1/2 teaspoon common salt
• 1 cup dried red lentils
• 3 cups water
• 1 whole bay leaf
• 2 tablespoons freshly squeezed lemon juice

Take olive oil in a pan and heat it. Now add the sliced carrots, onion, and salt and stir to combine. Cover the pan with a lid and cook them for 5-10 minutes until the vegetables become soft. Now add red lentils, bay leaf and water to the pan and start boiling it on low flame. Keep stirring them occasionally until lentils begin to fall apart. Now, turn off the flame and add lemon juice as topping. You may add more salt as per requirement.

2. Healthy Avocado Salad

While talking about good recipes for weight loss, the role of a salad is hard to ignore. They are very easy to prepare and can help you lose weight in a healthy manner. You need to peel avocado and peel it into chunks. Also, you need to peel and cut tomatoes and cucumbers in similar shapes. You can also slice onions and add it to the bowl. Take all the ingredients in a bowl and add extra virgin olive oil, salt and black pepper (as per taste) to the mixture. Mix it well. And your salad is ready.

• 1 medium sized avocado, sliced
• 1 large tomato cut in slices
• 1 small yellow onion, chopped in slices
• 1 medium sized cucumber sliced in pieces
• 1 tablespoon olive oil

3. Chicken-Mushroom Stir Fry

This weight loss recipe is a great option for you if you are a non-vegetarian and love stir-fry. You can have this as a side recipe with brown rice. You can also add leftover veggies to this meal to make it healthier.
• 2 tablespoon extra-virgin olive oil
• 1-2 tablespoon soy sauce
• Boneless chicken breasts
• Mushrooms
• Salt
• Leftover veggies and celery, chopped
• Black pepper
• Ginger/garlic

Cut the chicken into small pieces and marinade it with soy sauce. Then heat up olive oil in a pan and add the chicken pieces to it. Fry it for some time until it gets brown. Keep it on a medium flame. Now, add the mushrooms to the pan and also start frying it. Add more soy sauce, ginger/garlic and black pepper and cook them together. After 5-10 minutes, add the chopped veggies to the pan and add salt to the mixture. Cook all them together for some time. You can add more black pepper. Don’t keep it on the flame for long. Now turn off the flame and serve this dish with brown rice. Yummy food is ready!!!

4. Green Tea and Kiwi Smoothie

Green tea is a well-known ingredient for health loss. This wonder herb can be used to make tasty smoothies. Since green tea is a rich source of anti-oxidants and contains free radical-fighting catechin EGCG, it helps people to lose weight and be in shape. Making green tea smoothie is very easy and you can have it for breakfast or also as snacks in the evening. You need the following ingredients to prepare it.

• 2-3 green tea bags
• 1 medium sized kiwi fruit sliced into pieces
• 8-10 crushed ice cubes
• ½ cup coconut milk
• 2 tablespoons honey
• 3 cups water

Take 2 cups of water and boil it. After 5 minutes, add the 2 green tea bags to the boiling water. Let it shimmer for 10-15 minutes. Take the brewed tea and put it in the ice tray and allow it to freeze. Then take out the frozen green tea ice cubes and add coconut milk, honey, sliced kiwi pieces to the blender. Blend them until soft, smooth and creamy and then pour it in a glass. Serve it immediately. You may also add extra ice cubes to the drink.

5. Cauliflower Kale Frittata

This is an another low-calorie meal which takes very little time for preparation but gives your body a good dose of proteins and fibers. It also helps your body to feel energized throughout the day. You can have this meal for breakfast, lunch or even with dinner.

• 2 tablespoon extra-virgin olive oil
• 1-2 sliced cauliflower florets
• 5 cups chopped kale
• Cloves and garlic, minced
• Salt
• Leftover veggies and celery, chopped
• Fresh thyme
• Ginger/garlic
• Salt
• Leftover veggies and celery, chopped
• Ground pepper
• 4-5 eggs
• smoked paprika
• 1 cup crumbled goat cheese

1 tablespoon olive oil is heated in a large pan over medium heat. Add onion is added and cooked until it becomes golden brown. Then cauliflower and water is added to the mixture. The pan is covered and cooked to make the mixture texture and soft. Now, add kale, garlic powder and thyme to the pan mixing it to combine with the cauliflower. We wait till the kale wilts. Meantime, mix the eggs, paprika and crumbled goat cheese in a separate bowl and stir them thoroughly. After the kale has wilted, vegetables are removed from the pan and added to the egg mixture. Mix all the ingredients well and transfer the entire mixture to a fresh pan after heating some oil in it. Cover and cook this mixture until the edges are set. Do this for 10-15 minutes. On the other hand, heat the broiler of the oven. When the mixture in the pan is cooked, place the pan in the oven for about 10 minutes. This is done to cook the top of frittata. Take it out from the oven and your healthy, tasty cauliflower kale frittata is ready to be served hot.

6. Red Beans with Coconut Rice

It has been proved in researches that high-carbohydrate diet is the secret of fast weight loss. Having whole grains in your meals can help to lose weight faster. Rice or red beans may sound boring enough in a meal, but if cooked in a properly can taste really delicious. This is an island-inspired recipe and you need the following ingredients to make this.

• Sliced veggies
• 1-2 cups of kidney beans/rajma
• Light coconut milk
• Dried thyme
• ½ tablespoon Ground spices
• thinly sliced onions
• Black pepper
• Salt

Take the sliced veggies, kidney beans, coconut milk, dried thyme and ground spices in heavy large saucepan. Boil the mixture over medium-high heat. Add white rice to it and stir. Shimmer the mixture on medium heat until most of the rice is soft and cooked properly. Give it time so that the water in the mixture is absorbed completely.It will take about 20-30 minutes. Add onions to the mixture and continue to simmer until the mixture gets tender and creamy enough to taste. Now add black pepper and salt to taste to the pan. Serve it in a bowl hot. Garnish it with onions and chilies if you want to it be spicier.

7. Eggless Pancakes

This is another healthy option for breakfast and if you love pancakes, then you can have it easily without the fear of weight gain.
• 2 tablespoon coconut oil
• Wheat flour
• Baking powder
• vanilla extract
• Salt
• Coconut milk
• Honey
• Water
• Salt

Mix all the above ingredients in a bowl and form a batter out of it. Then on a flat pan, add some coconut oil, spread it well and heat it on a low flame. Add some batter on the pan to form a pan cake. Fry them on a low flame until they some light brown in colour. After all your pancakes are fried well, serve it hot with maple syrup (if you have it) as a topping. You can also make this recipe healthier by adding bananas, pomegranates to the batter.

8. Mango Coconut Sorbet

This recipe is people who have sweet tooth but want to lose weight faster. The name of this recipe itself sounds yummy. Let me tell you the recipe now.
• 2/3 ripe mangoes
• 2-3 tablespoons honey
• Light coconut milk

Cut the mangoes and slice out the fleshy mango pulp from it and transfer it to the blender. Add coconut milk and 2/3 tablespoons of honey to it. Blend it well until the mixture is creamy and smooth. Put the blended mixture into an ice-cream-maker or keep it in the freezer safe bowl and allow it to freeze for 8-10 hours. Before serving it, take it out and let it sit for 5-10 minutes before starting to enjoy the dessert. This sorbet is mouth-watering and is a perfect treat during summers. You can have this in place of ice-cream and this is totally healthy, so no chances of weight gain.

9. Granola Nutrition Bars

You must heard if granola bars?? They are so delicious that you simply can’t stop eating them. It doesn’t stop here. It contains all the right ingredients and helps you to control weight and remain healthy. They can be easily prepared at the ease of home.
• 1 1/2 cups oats
• 1/2cup raw almonds and other nuts
• 1 cup
• 2 tablespoon chia seeds
• 2 tablespoon sunflower seeds
• 2 tablespoon flax seeds
• 2 tablespoon hemp seeds
• 1/4 cup maple syrup /honey
• 1/4 cup creamy salted natural peanut butter
• Chocolate chips(additional)
• Banana chips(additional)
To prepare this, almonds, nuts and oats are toasted in an oven for about 10-15 minutes till they become golden brown in colour. The dated are processed in a food processor to form smaller bits. Mix oats, walnuts, almonds and dates in a large bowl. Heat peanut butter in a saucepan and add this mixture to the pan when it becomes hot. Mix them well in the pan so that all the ingredients disperses well. Transfer this mixture to small 8*8 dish or small pan lined with plastic wrap or parchment paper. Cover the pan or dish with plastic wrap and place them properly to avoid any crumbling. Deep freeze it for about 30 minutes. Remove the bars from the dish and then cut the large bar into smaller even sized pieces. You can keep this in an air-tight container or in the freezer to keep them fresh. Have it anytime as per your wish.

10. Ginger Drink

Ginger is a magical herb and its drink has proven to be beneficial in weight loss. Not only is the drink pleasant to taste, but it is also healthy. This drink should be consumed everyday if you are serious about losing weight. You can make this in a jiffy. To make this drink, we need just two ingredients-honey and ginger. Peel off the ginger and cut it into small pieces. Put the pieces in bowl. Add water to it and heat it over low flame. Let it simmer for 5-10 minutes so that all juices are extracted. Strain it, add some honey to it and then drink it hot. You can also make the drink spicier with some lemon juice or black pepper. This will bring an occasional change in the drink.
