1. Always remove your makeup before going to bed:
We’ve heard this one time and time again but we don’t seem to stop having those nights when we’re just too tired to do anything about the makeup on our face! Make it a point to remove your makeup first thing when you get home in the evening. Use an oil-based cleanser for the same to keep your skin nourished.
2. Clean your makeup brushes regularly:

3. Drink enough water:

We already know how essential it is to wear sunscreen on a daily basis. Stock a tube of sunscreen in your handbag so that just in case you forget to wear it before you step out, you have it with you on the go. This will also remind you to reapply it every two hours.
8. Follow a skincare routine:
A skincare routine both in the morning and in the evening is the best gift you can give your skin this year. Narrow it down the basics, but make sure to do your skin this favour every morning and every evening.
9. Sleep on clean sheets and pillowcases:
Make it a point to replace your bed sheets and pillowcases at least once a week, if not twice. This plays a crucial role in keeping your skin healthy.
10. Disinfect your phone routinely:
Our phone screen accumulates an unimaginable amount of bacteria, which we then directly place against our skin! Use anti-bacterial wipes to disinfect your phone routinely.
11. Shop smart:
When buying makeup and skincare items, always do your research beforehand. Read product reviews to know how others have liked these products. If it’s not a product that you need immediately, wait for a seasonal sale to buy it a discounted price.
12. Always look your best:
Finally, let 2017 be that year when you always look your best- every single day! This, of course, does not mean that you need to be wearing makeup all the time or that you always need to be well-dressed. This simply means that it’s important to be true to your mood and true to yourself, and to look and feel your best no matter what.
