Today, I’ll be reviewing a set of 3 nail paints for you, and I’m really excited as this is my first nail paint review. I usually don’t buy nail paints because, I’m a nail artist myself and generally wear gel nails, but for the last couple of months, I’m trying out nail paints from different brands. So, let’s get into the review.
Innisfree Real Color Nail Polishes – 37 (Summer), 56 (Fall):
Price: Rs. 300/- each.
1. Highly pigmented color
Color Solution gives rich and intense colors to the nails with a single coat.
2. Long-lasting base
Advanced Long-lasting Base ensures long wear of vivid nail colors.
3. Triple-care ingredients for the health of nails
A combination of calcium, argan oil and tangerine oil provides nourishment to damaged nails.
* The strong scent of tangerine gives off an extra citrus boost.
My Experience with Innisfree Real Color Nail Polishes:
Recently, I visited Innisfree store and realised that they have a good range of nail paints so, I bought two beautiful shades. The first shade 37 is from their “Summer” range. It is a transparent nail polish with royal blue glitters in it. The second shade 56 is from their “Fall” range and is a deep wine color. I love this shade.
Innisfree nail paint packaging is very much similar to Maybelline nail paints, just that the former one comes with a white cap. It comes in a transparent glass bottle, which is very sturdy. It would easily survive few drops on the ground. They have shade numbers but not names, which are printed on a small sticker pasted on the cap. Along with the shade number, the product-related information is printed on the sticker.
Innisfree has an average formulation, and it takes about two coats for the color to show up on the nails. Also, I think, the bristles are not fine enough because it makes the nail color look streaky. There is nothing called “Quick Dry” as it takes its own time to dry. However, you’ll find a huge range of pastel shades at Innisfree, which other Indian brands don’t jump into. Overall, I think it is on the expensive side.
Pros of Innisfree Real Color Nail Polishes:
- Good range of colours.
- Sleek packaging.
Cons of Innisfree Real Color Nail Polishes:
- Nothing over the top if compared to other low price nail paints.
- Does not dry quickly.
L’Oreal Paris Color Riche Les Vernis Matte 915:
Price: Rs. 299/-
• Be the lady you have always wanted to be
• Adorn your fingertips with a little tweed jacket of their own
• Perfect for application on top of your favorite L’Oreal Paris nail paint
• Beautiful Color Riche Matte Top Coat, a perfect finishing touch to get your nails noticed
My Experience with L’Oreal Paris Color Riche Les Vernis Matte 915:
L’Oreal Paris Color Riche Les Vernis Matte comes in a sleek, square shaped glass bottle with a black cylindrical cap. It has a sticker on the cap mentioning the shade name, which makes it easier for you to pick this up from the stack. Although it looks like a translucent top coat in the bottle, on application, it actually looks white. However, it doesn’t affect the color of your nail paint. Overall, the packaging is sturdy and travel-friendly.
L’Oreal top coat dries super quickly and gives a smooth matte finish, which I like. The brush is good enough, and the application is never streaky or blotchy. The only downside is, it enhances the streakiness if you already have a streaky nail paint underneath.
Pros of L’Oreal Paris Color Riche Les Vernis Matte 915:
- Smooth finish.
- Quick drying.
- Square bottle, occupies less space in vanity.
Cons of L’Oreal Paris Color Riche Les Vernis Matte 915:
- Enhances the streakiness of nail color.
