Essence is one of the brands that I just love watching *woot* . Their packaging is soo damn cute and girly. I have used a lot of their stuff and they are pretty good for daily use when you don’t want a lot of makeup; but want a little of it. I picked up this mascara just to try it out since the last mascara from essence did a good job. So let’s see whether it lived upto my expectation or not.

My take on Essence Get Big! Lashes Volume Boost Waterproof Mascara:

The pretty mascara from essence comes in metallic blue packaging with black design and hot pink fonts. The packaging was the only reason I got this one. The mascara is pretty handy. It is big n size so they have given a good quantity for the price. The price is affordable too and great for college going girls or beginners. It has a waterproof formula; I tried washing it with water but it did not go. The brush is a big one which has the capacity to hold a lot of formula. Its main aim is to provide volume and it does a good job at it. It gave my eyelashes beautiful volume and made them look even catchier. It did make my lashes look thick as well. It lasts all day till you go remove it.

But the moment you start applying it will make your lashes feeling heavier. It dries off pretty soon so the application is uneven each time. It clumps a lot and you can surely notice that in the swatches. It made my eye lashes stick together. At times when I blinked my eyes, the clumps of the upper lashes got stuck with lower lashes. It felt so uneasy. I had to apply atleast two coats to make it look volumised. But I think it did not work out that well. So to use it up I am going to go on with a single coat delicate look.

-Very attractive and girly packaging
-A good amount of quantity for that price
-It is a waterproof formula and it is tested by me
-Available in shops as well as online stores
-It does make the eyes look catchy and more vibrant
-It does give a volumised look and makes the lashes look longer and thick
-Lasts till you remove it with a makeup remover

Cons of Essence Get Big! Lashes Volume Boost Waterproof Mascara:

-It clumps a lot
-It makes the eyelashes stick together which makes it look very weird
-It feels very heavy on the eyes
-Uneven application
-The formula is not that smooth

Will I repurchase/recommend it?

Not really because who would like a clumped look. Although it is easy on the pocket and attractive, I wouldn’t get it again or recommend it. I think by spending a few more bucks I would like to get a mascara which would not clump the eye lashes.

Conclusion: The stuff is very good from this brand and people who want to try out make-up before investing in good brands , then this is the stuff for you. Go on and try some goodies from them! But their mascaras really clump.
