3 Brilliant Berry Recipes to Rejuvenate Stressed Skin

In my last post, I had discussed the beauty benefits of berries. They are super rich in antioxidants and vitamins, thus can easily reduce dullness and signs of ageing. Today, I will share three berry recipes to pamper your skin and completely rejuvenate it from within. So, let’s get started!

Brightening Strawberry Mask

This is a popular mask and surely works wonders for the skin. If your skin is dull, dehydrated and severely affected by high pollution levels, this is definitely a must-try.

Ingredients:
Strawberries (3-4, washed and chopped)
Yoghurt (2 teaspoons)
Honey (1 teaspoon)

How to make:
Add all the three ingredients in a blender and make a smooth paste. Apply liberally on face and neck. It will be slightly runny, so rest with this on your face. Let it dry for 15-20 minutes. Wash off with cold water. Pat dry.

Benefits:
Strawberries nourish and revitalise your skin. Strawberries are acidic in nature and help remove the excess sebum on skin. The juice is very efficient in lightening blemishes and acne scars. Yoghurt increases the moisture content, makes skin more elastic and improves brightness. Honey is a humectant and smoothens skin, making it velvety soft.

Refreshing Cranberry Mask

If your skin lacks glow and looks tired and stressed you should give this power pack a shot. It will freshen up your skin from deep within and give it an enviable radiance.

Ingredients:
Cranberries (Around 4-5, cleaned and washed)
Aloe vera gel (1 teaspoon)
Yoghurt or milk (whichever suits your skin better, around 1-2 tablespoons)

How to make:
Easy! Place all the ingredients in a blender and blend to make a smooth paste. Apply on face and neck, leave it on for 20 minutes. Wipe off with a wet muslin cloth. Follow up with a moisturiser.

Benefits:
Cranberry has loads of vitamin C, which is needed for the formation of hydroxyproline, hydroxylysine and amino acids that produce collagen in the body. Plus, it improves skin texture making the skin soft, firm and healthy. Aloe vera gel soothes skin, reduces irritations and hydrates skin. Yoghurt gives a healthy glow. Milk improves complexion, reduces tan, nourishes and evens out skin.

Anti-Ageing Blueberry Mask

Blueberries are superfoods for skin and mature skin can benefit a lot from this potent fruit. If you are in your late twenties and early thirties, you can apply this to prevent the signs of ageing. It also works well for people with sagging, lifeless skin as it gives a firm, toned look.

Ingredients:
Blueberries (4-5, washed and cleaned)
Oats (2 tablespoon)
Vitamin E (2 capsules)
Olive Oil (1 tablespoon)

How to make:
This anti-ageing mask is simple to whip up. Blend a few blueberries, olive oil and oats to make a smooth paste. Now add Vitamin E (you can pour the contents of the capsule directly) and mix. Apply generously to make an even layer. Leave it on for around 20 minutes. Wash off and apply a toner. Moisturise as usual.

Benefits:
Blueberries are excellent for ageing skin, as they are potent in antioxidants and vitamin C. Oatmeal is moisturising and helps remove dead skin cells. Vitamin E oil works to block free radicals from the body, which play a large part in the ageing process. Olive oil can soothe, smooth, and nourish the skin.
