3-Ingredient Clean Up Mask for Oily Skin

Hi girls!

I sympathize with all the oily skinned girls who suffer from acne. Even the best of tried-and-tested medicines fail, and we resort to every possible home remedy. On top of it, our clogged pores seem to irritate the hell out of us. During my experiments, I found egg whites work great for my sensitive, oily and acne prone skin, even when I have bad breakouts. But the smell of eggs is often overpowering, so I wanted something that would nullify it. And this mask is the product of my iterations. It’s super simple and a boon to every oily skinned girl. Read and try it today!

Ingredients:

3-Ingredient Clean Up Mask for Oily Skin Ingredients

• Egg white: 2 tablespoon
• Tea tree essential oil
• 1 slice of lemon

Steps:

• Add 2 tablespoons of egg white in a bowl or paper cup. I love eggs, but I hate the smell of raw eggs, so I used a paper cup which can be disposed off.

• Avoid under eyes and eyebrows.
• Leave it on for 15 minutes or till your skin starts feeling stretchy.
• Wash it off with lukewarm water, pat dry and apply an astringent or non-alcohol based toner.
• Moisturize with an oil-free moisturizer.

Benefits:

This mask is a triple action mask and targets problematic skin. Egg whites are known for their amazing skin tightening and pore reducing properties. They help to shrink pores, reduce blackheads and whiteheads and add firmness to skin. Lemons are the best-known natural bleach. Together with egg whites, they make a great combination to fight dullness, reduce excess sebum production and lighten tan and blemishes. They also help in reducing facial hair. Tea tree oil has anti-microbial action. It can eliminate acne-causing bacteria, get rid of fungal infections, reduce pimples and improve skin texture.

Caution:

Tea tree oil and lemon may cause a slight tingling sensation, especially if you have not used them before. Do a patch test, behind your ears or neck and see if any itchiness persists.

How Often Should You Use It?

I started using it once a week and found that in three uses, I could see a visible difference in my texture and tone. I switched to using it twice a week now so as to specifically reduce some blemishes and pimples. You can use it 1-2 times a week depending on your needs.
