3-Simple Daily Use DIY for Winter

3-Simple Daily Use DIY for Winter

Hello pretty ladies! Hope everyone is enjoying winters; I am not actually because extreme cold weather when you live in Asia with no central heating system gives you a tough time! Anyway, last year I wrote an article about 3 DIY using Rosewater and Glycerine for winters and I still remember the overwhelming response. It’s been one and a half years approx. of my IMBB journey and I have somewhat grew in the beauty world. This year, I am sharing 3 simplest daily/weekly use DIY’s with my pals. They are really simple and best utilize the stuff lying around us in an effective manner. Just the busy schedule took me so long to click and pen them down. Let’s move on to the article.

3 simple Daily Use DIY

1. Mild Shampoo for everyday use:

If you are an unlucky person like me to own oily scalp and dry locks, untamed and frizzy ones; then this DIY is for you. My hair never manage to look lively or even acceptable without daily dose of shampoo in spite of the fact I know it’s really harmful to shampoo hair every day. But to avoid a flat and limp hair day, I am supposed to do so. Instead of spending on a regular, a mild, a clarifying and moisturizing shampoo separately, I am sharing a recipe to make use of your regular shampoo as a mild shampoo too.

All you will need is some Aloe Vera, your regular shampoo and an empty bottle. You will need a blender to blend the Aloe Vera chunks too. Peel off the Aloe Vera skin and blend in the blender to bring it in liquid state. Pour the aloe-vera into the empty bottle and add double the quantity of shampoo; i.e one part aloe vera and two parts shampoo (approximate quantities will work fine). Shake well and keep in the shower closet for everyday/regular use. This is a mild shampoo and absolutely no harm in using every day as aloe vera possesses healthy benefits for hairs.

Fresh, frizz free, detangled hair with not much natural moisture ripped off your hair and scalp due to regular shampooing process.

Aloe Vera Benefits:

Aloe vera plant is infused with 75 nutrients, 12 vitamins, 20 minerals, 200 active enzymes along with 18 amino acids. Aloe vera also provides Vitamin A, B1, B2, B6, B12, C and E, folic acid and Niacin. This is one of the best herbal plants to treat hair loss and dandruff, condition hairs and provide a matchless hair rinse for dry and damaged hairs. Aloe vera is also effective in treatment of alopecia.

2. Vaseline Petroleum Jelly Mild Moisturizer:

This is a simple trick to utilize the unfinished Vaseline Petroleum Jar along with providing ultimate moisture to your legs, arms and feet (ankles too) without the heavy and sticky feeling that makes you skip Vaseline Jelly application. You can either make it and keep in the same Vaseline jar or make small quantities as per your needs. Simply, take some amount of Vaseline in your palm and add few drops of lemon juice. Rub between your palms and apply generously to legs, feet and ankles before going to bed. Put on your cotton socks for healing dry skin on heels and get soft, supple and healed skin in the morning. Also, this can be used on dry hands, arms and elbows.

Vaseline Petroleum Jelly not only restores the suppleness of skin and cure dry chapped skin but also repairs damaged cuticles. It is far effective than lotions and cheaper than many raved brands.

3. Use your Conditioner as deep conditioner:

Either you are a saving bug or a hi-school student and can’t afford to splurge on high-end brand hair masks or the regular ones simply fail to impress you. This simple protein mask and then use of your regular conditioner as a deep conditioner will give you saloon treated hairs without spending a penny. All you need to do is take some time out on a weekend and apply egg, mayonnaise and essential oil mask to your hair first. For that, mix one or two egg yolks with plain mayonnaise and add warm olive/coconut oil and few lemon drops to it. Mix with whisk and apply to warm and damp hair, covering hair strands completely. Wash after 20 min, use regular/mild shampoo and apply conditioner (simply your regular conditioner) to hair and put on shower cap for 20 minute before washing. Bingo! You did protein treatment and deep conditionings of your hair in one go, in 40 minutes and without spending any extra money. You can find the hair protein mask DIY here in detail: Effective Hair Mask For Split Ends: Do It Yourself. I prefer coconut oil for my dry damaged hairs in winters because it gives extra conditioning to hair.

Why are protein masks for hairs and deep conditioning important?

Proteins make the base of our hair structure; our hair strands are made and nourished with proteins and hence, a protein rich diet resolves hair concern issues. To get quicker results, we nourish our hair through protein masks which can be easily obtained at home with egg yolk and mayonnaise. Similarly, our hairs are always exposed to sunlight, pollution and additively warm water and harsh winds in winters. Shampooing and styling also add to hair’s natural moisture depletion process. This is when deep conditioning comes to rescue and repairs damaged follicles of hairs and restoring shine and moisture.
