Hello ladies,
After a pretty long hiatus, I am back with a pretty useful and noteworthy post.
If you are a woman, high heels have definitely adorned your feet at some point in life. While most of us here might speak Loubs like the back of our hands, but these simple tips can save our dainty feet from the torture that no one speaks about, but moans about the very next day – let’s not deny!
1. Pick the right size: Sure those are the last pair of shoes and it will look perfect for your girl’s night out, but if it isn’t your size, walk away. We women have a tendency of trying to squeeze ourselves into a dress or shoe we love, even though we are well aware that it’s a size tad too small. Not only will you be super uncomfortable throughout the night, but people can tell too. So if you don’t want to be staggering your way through the restaurant in pain and look forward to the potentiality of blisters and shoe bites – find the right size.
2. Sway those hips and work those thighs: Ever watched those runway models work their high heels on the ramp? Well sure, they are a pro. But a little practice and you won’t be far too. Leading with your thighs and using your hips while walking in heels, will reduce the uncomfortable stomping of your feet. Rather than just moving your feet, move your whole leg forward, practice this to reduce those painful aches after a night out.
3. Skip those stilettos: A wider base will always support your posture and prevent those painful shoe bites and prevent swollen feet . I know, I know those sleek stilettos in the Kurt Geiger ad campaign are to die for. Unless you want a bad back, ugly bunions and painful red feet, give them a skip and why not go for wedges, they really are in vogue these days and your feet will worship you for the choice.
4. A lil ‘ bit of cushioning: If everything else fails, and you really want those stilettos or if it’s going to be a pout-ful February for you, purchase those cushion inserts your local chemist stocks on and TVC loves to advertise. Trust me, they are worth making your buddy for a long night out. Prevents you BIG time from the ruthless scars your heels are famous for giving.
Hope this article helps, and let me know what are your go-to tips for a painless night of fun in those spanking new heels.

Thanks a lot Jomol 🙂 Happy to be back! xx
Superb tips. Wedges are definitely the most comfortable pair of heels!
Thank you Lisha 🙂 Agreeed! Cant wait to wear my Michael Kors ones this summer!
heels and I have broke up long ago.. I am in love with flats.. the last time i wore a very short heels it killed my legs for 2 days.. Thank god I have a good height.. i so love wedges but painful ankles are not worth it.. and about the cushions, now that’s something i need 😀
Hey Raashi,
I can only wear heals for max 2 hours….i m too bad at handling heels…i m a flat shoe lover. Good height and long back makes it more difficult…Definitely a very useful post for me. liked the inserting cushion idea.
Cheers!!! keep going. 🙂
Hey Heena 🙂
Me too! I love my flats, my height is not too bad so I get away with wearing flats quiet easily. Currently loving my Nike Roshe’s!
Thank you 🙂
But, I love my Stilettos… you see I’m short 😛
Haha! Make cushion inserts your friend for life in that case. x
Good to have you back, Rasshi. And amazing post. 🙂
Glad to be back Mahasweta and so happy to see you comment out here! Love my old readers commenting. And thank you lovely 🙂
