Twice a day

-What skin type do you have? (dry,oily,combo)
Oily

-What is your current facial wash?
Cetaphil

-Do you exfoliate?
Yes, once a week.

-What brand do you use?
St Ives Apricot scrub

-What moisturizer do you use?
Loreal White Perfect (hate it though! Bought it after seeing a grand display at the airport while transiting..makes my skin oilier) Before that used Olay.. should switch back to it soon

-Do you have freckles?
No.

-Do you use eye cream?
No. I have one from Olay..just lazy to use it.

-Do you or did you have acne prone skin?
No.
-Did you ever have to use Pro-activ?
No.

MAKE-UP

-What foundation do you use?
Revlon One step compact makeup in Toast, Lakme face magic soufflé in Natural Shell.

-How about concealer?
e.l.f  Tone correcting concealer.

-Do you know your undertone color?
I suppose its Neutral-Cool.

-What do you think of fake eyelashes?
Never considered it, since thankfully I have decently dense and long lashes

-Did you know that you are suppose to change your mascara every 3 months?
Yes

-What brand of mascara do you use?
Silky girl Double Intense waterproof mascara

Sephora or MAC?
Like the Sephora store..houses tons of brands including MAC. Have never used any of the Sephora brand products though, should give ‘em a try.

-Do you have a MAC Pro-card?
No.

-What makeup tools do you use in make up application?
makeup sponge, eyeshadow brush, Blush brush.

-Do you use make-up base/primer for the eyes?
No

-For the face?
Nope.

-What is your favorite eyeshadow (color or shade)?
MAC Shroom. Its more like a highlighter…I love how it just opens up my eyes with just one swipe across the brow bone

-Do you use pencil or liquid eyeliner?
Both. Usually pencil to office, liquid for evenings out.

-How often do you poke your eyes with an eyeliner pencil?
Never

-What do you think of pigment eyeshadows?.
I think they are nice..looking forward to trying some of the MAC ones.

-Do you use mineral makeup?
Not yet…just bought a foundation from the Bare minerals line of Bare Escentuals today! Excited!

-What is your favorite lipstick?
None so far really.. the perfect lipstick still eludes me Frown As a result I use more of tinted lipbalms.

-How about lipgloss?
Revlon Super Lustrous Lipgloss in Pink After Glow and another one in brown (something ending in cafe, so old the name’s faded off it and I can’t find it on their site now)

-What is your favorite blush to use?
Bobbi Brown Pot Rouge for Lips and Cheeks in Pink truffle

-Do you buy your makeup on ebay?
Not yet, but considering to, tempted by some of the lower costs.

-Do you like drugstore makeup?
Yes.

-Do you go to CCO’s? (cosmetic company outlets)
Of course!

-Did you ever consider taking make-up classes?
All my classes are from youtube videos Razz I would I guess if I get a girl pal or two for company.

-Are you clumsy in putting on makeup?
Used to be..I think I’m getting better now.

-Name a makeup crime that you hate?
Heavy eye and lip makeup at the same time, looks garish in my opinion.

-Do you like colorful shades of makeup (lipstick,eyeshadow) or neutral ones?
I like colours in eyeliners and eyeshadows. Want to give coloured mascaras a try.

-Which celebrity always has great make up?
Love Bipasha Basu and Kajol. Being of a darker skin tone..I find myself always checking them out for tips on colours to choose for myself

-If you could leave the house using just ONE make up item,what would you use?
Lip balm

-Could you ever leave the house without any makeup on?
Yes.

-Do you think you look good even without any makeup on?
Err..well I think so. Just that makeup makes me look a bit more better Smile

-In your opinion, what is the BEST makeup line?
Am a complete newbie..so still experimenting with different brands. So far I think its Bobbi Brown.

-What do you think of Makeup?
Makeup helps to give that little bit extra..mostly I think it adds to one’s confidence in that now you feel like you are ready to face the world !

1. Which cosmetic brands do you want to see in India?
I live in Singapore so I’ll speak for this place – NARS, Stila, Lush (Yes, there’s no Lush here..sigh)

2. What are the most common excuses you’ve heard Indian women give for not wearing makeup?
“It doesn’t suit my complexion” “ Don’t have the time” “Its only for celebrities and people who face the camera”

3. Name the makeup products that you would continue to use even after hitting 50.
Eye pencil, tinted lip balm, blush maybe?

4. Has any beauty advice ever gone wrong for you?
Been sold the wrong shade of foundation countless number of times by SAs. I have now come to the conclusion that since all of us Indians are considered to be obsessed with fair skin, the SA doesn’t want to make u feel bad and sells u a lighter tone! “Get a hold of it woman..I am comfortable in my skin colour and I want the RIGHT shade!”

5. When was the last time you committed a beauty blunder?
Wearing kajal below the lower lash. I think it looks great on a lot of women, but with my oily skin and humid weather outside..it ran and streaked and I looked like someone with horrible dark circles at the end of the day.

6. If you could change one thing in an average Indian bride’s marriage look, what would it be?
Applying a foundation that ‘matches’ the skin tone.

7. Name one makeup product that you will never use.
Anything with glitter in it – blush/powder/cream. Exception: Eyeshadow. I love eyeshadow with glitter for grand evenings

8. What beauty treatments do you regularly undergo at your parlour?
Eyebrow threading, head/hair massage, facial cleanups.

9. Have you ever faced criticism from friends or family for your makeup obsession?
No criticism.. of course my hubby does roll his eyes and finds it amusing.

10. What is the one makeup look that you just cannot pull off?
Red lipstick. They say there is red lipstick for every skin tone, but given I have never found a decent lipstick in any colour yet! Red is far far away.
