Yes,and I do change my mascaras and liquid liners every three to four months.

These days I am loving Estee Lauder’s Magnascopic Mascara (review coming soon)

No Sephora in India, so Mac.

No.

Yes- Mac Paint Pot in painterly.

Nothing but I want to try one.

I love browns and blacks shadows but I play a lot with coloured eyeliners.

Pencil mostly but I am not scared if using a liquid liner either.

Never. lolzz!!
-What do you think of pigment eyeshadows?
I am falling in love with them. Bought Colorbar’s pigments recently and I am wondering why I didn’t buy them before.:)

Yes I do but mostly I don’t believe in the mineral makeup tag.
-What is your favorite lipstick?
These days it’s Revlon’s Matte lipstick in Rose Dew.
-How about lipgloss?
Colorbar’s Juicy lipgloss in Just Berry. Don’t use too many glosses.
-What is your favorite blush to use?
Colorbar’s Cinnabar and Bourjois Bronzer.
-Do you buy your makeup on ebay?
No.

Yes, I did the self makeup classes some years back but back then makeup didn’t interest me much. Now I regret why I took the course so lightly. 🙁

Women using foundation lighter than their skin tone just to look fair. Hate it!

I love colorful blushes but I keep my eyes neutral/black most of the time.

Kim Kardashian for her bronzy looks. Kareena Kapoor for her bold eyeliners.

Lip balm. Dry lips irritate me.

Still discovering a lot of makeup brands but Colorbar and MAC have really impressed me.

Makeup is best if you don’t become too dependent on it. Personally I think you should be as comfortable with your bare face as you would be with makeup on.

I forgot to apply base under my eye shadows and within an hour my kids went oily and my shadow started to become patchy and all. 🙁 Thankfully I was at a mall so I had an access to decent washroom. I had to remove it all away. grrr….
6. If you could change one thing in an average Indian bride’s marriage look, what would it be?
Gawd! Why can’t they use a decent shade of foundation for a bride. The idea is to make the bride look the fairest of all. I wonder how cheated the husband would feel once all the foundation would be removed. 😛

Same answer as Rima’s – Face glitter.
8. What beauty treatments do you regularly undergo at your parlour?
Only waxing. I do my upper lips and eyebrows myself. 😛
9. Have you ever faced criticism from friends or family for your makeup obsession?
They tease me a lot but have never been against my love for makeup. In fact, my friends call me up first before buying stuff for themselves. So that’s great. My hubby think that all makeup looks the same so he has no clue why I am so excited when I buy similar products from different brands. 😛
10. What is the one makeup look that you just cannot pull off?
I think I have answered this one before. Black smokey eyes with red lips. I so wish I could pull off hot red lipsticks.

I know what you are saying. I don’t use a thread , I use a plucker. Also, my eyebrows need no major shaping or anything, I just have to remove the extra hair that I have here and there.

Okay Piya, Next post would be on hair. Done! I have not tried Loreal yet but I like Sunsilk, Himalaya, Khadi and Dove shampoos. Ayur is not a mild shampoo. Don’t be mistaken. They don’t have a single ingredient list written on their bottle. I am going to try loreal myself but as you can read in the comments a lot of readers here are recommending Loreal.
Personally, I trust my reader’s recommendations and give a lot of stuff a try based on that. If you want, you may do the same. 🙂

Been sold the wrong shade of foundation countless number of times by SAs. I have now come to the conclusion that since all of us Indians are considered to be obsessed with fair skin, the SA doesn’t want to make u feel bad and sells u a lighter tone! “Get a hold of it woman..I am comfortable in my skin colour and I want the RIGHT shade!”

Wearing kajal below the lower lash. I think it looks great on a lot of women, but with my oily skin and humid weather outside..it ran and streaked and I looked like someone with horrible dark circles at the end of the day.

Applying a foundation that ‘matches’ the skin tone.
7. Name one makeup product that you will never use.
Anything with glitter in it – blush/powder/cream. Exception: Eyeshadow. I love eyeshadow with glitter for grand evenings

Eyebrow threading, head/hair massage, facial cleanups.

No criticism.. of course my hubby does roll his eyes and finds it amusing.

Red lipstick. They say there is red lipstick for every skin tone, but given I have never found a decent lipstick in any colour yet! Red is far far away.
