5 Homemade Cucumber Face Packs

Like papaya, cucumber too has a storehouse of beauty benefits.  Cucumbers contain vitamin A and C, and high amount of anti-oxidants. Cucumbers contain caffeic acid which is an anti-oxidant that prevents skin damage.  Cucumbers also calms down and soothes irritation due to its high water content and also reduces water retention.  This vegetable is also used to lighten skin tone and blemishes. Cucumber juice tones and refreshes skin and is known to reduce pore size.  Regular use of cucumber face packs reduces skin tan too. Let’s check out 5 homemade face packs that you can make from cucumber:


1.  Cucumber, Mint, and Milk Face Pack:

This is a refreshing face pack that brightens skin tone.  Here’s how you can make it.  Take one or two full slices of cucumber (with skin), a few mint leaves and make a paste out of it.  Add in a little milk to this paste.  Apply on the face and neck with the help of cotton and rinse off after 20 minutes to get toned, bright skin tone.

2.  Cucumber and Tomato Face Pack:

This face pack removes skin tan with regular use.  Make a pulp out of tomato and cucumber slices and apply the paste on face and neck, keep for 30 minutes and rinse off.  If you have oily skin, you can also add multani mitti to this pack.  This pack also lightens skin tone due to the high vitamin C content from both cucumber and tomato.

3.  Cucumber and Oatmeal Face Pack:

This pack will refresh your skin tone along with mildly exfoliating and cleansing the facial pores.  This face pack is good for sensitive skin and acne-prone skin too.  Make a paste out of a few slices of cucumber and mix in equal quantity of oatmeal powder into it.  Make a paste with rosewater, milk or curd.  Apply on the face and neck and rinse off after 20 minutes.


4.  Cucumber and Rice Powder Face Pack:


Rice powder is good to treat blemishes, wrinkles, and pigmentation.  Cilantro refreshes skin tone like cucumbers.  To make this face pack, blend cilantro and cucumber to a paste.  Add some lemon juice and rice powder and mix well. Apply to face in circular motions, rinse off after a few minutes.

5.  Cucumber and Curd Face Pack:

Another face pack to reduce skin tan and make skin soft.  Make a paste out of a few slices of cucumber and mix in a little curd to it.  Mix well and apply on the face and neck and rinse off after 20 minutes.
