I don’t know why I always take a long time to review nail paints. So, last month, I picked up a few nail polishes from Maybelline. I got three shades from Maybelline newly launched Bright Matte range and two from their Party Girl range; both have a different texture, different quality and so, I will describe them separately. But, all are so good at this price rate and that’s why I am a fan of Maybelline’s products. Still, I expected some new shades. To know more, read the detailed review.

My Experience with Maybelline Color Show Bright Matte and Party Girl Nail Polishes Review:
Packaging: Like all other Maybelline nail, these come in the same round shaped glass bottle with a black cap and the shade name nicely printed on the top of the cap. It is a very simple and travel-friendly bottle. Only the Bright Matte range has a beautiful matte glass bottle which indicates the range actually. It also has a nice wand with a medium size brush applicator. The brush picks a good amount of product and easy to apply on nails.
Maybelline Color Show Bright Matte Nail Polishes:
Texture: As the name describes, it is a beautiful matte nail polish range which has a smooth medium-thin texture that glides easily and evenly occupies my nails. The formula is perfect and also dries out quickly. It takes around few minutes to dry but for the best result, I have to wait for around 5-10 minutes. This range has all matte shades and they settle into a beautiful matte texture. We all love the matte finish and these look super trendy on nails. I love this matte finish and it doesn’t feel patchy at all.
Shades: Bright Matte range has 6 beautiful bright shades and most of the shades are pretty similar to each other and I don’t notice any variety. There is no unique shade and all are from pink and red families. Only, there is an orange shade. But, somehow, I am not impressed a lot. These days we prefer different pastel shades or a little more uniqueness in shades but these are very common shades. As I don’t have any pink or red matte, so I picked up three shades.
Also, all the shades are very much pigmented that requires one to two strokes. It can provide good color pay off with single stroke but for the best smooth even result, I have to put the second stroke over it and it gives the beautiful result.
Brilliant Red: This is a gorgeous cherry red shade which I prefer the most. I am not a bright red person, so I went for this pretty little medium red and it will go with all skin tones.
Cheerful Coral: This is a beautiful coral orange shade that looks super bright on nails. It is more of an orange than coral and I love this shade. It looks perfect for summer and carries a nice popping look. It will look best on fair to medium skin tones. But, obviously, if you can carry it, it will look perfect on any skin tone.
Poppy Pink: This is from pink family and it’s a nice pretty pink shade that will suit all skin tones. It is not too bright shade so looks very sober on nails.
Staying Power: These shades last for around 5-6 days and it looks nice on nails for long. But, the matte finish starts to fade after 3 days. Otherwise, it doesn’t chip quickly. But if you work a lot, then it starts to chip from the edges. Otherwise, it survives good and the shades are easy to remove without leaving any stains behind.
Overall, it is a good matte range and looks pretty on nails as well. Only, I expected more shades from Maybelline. It’s time to bring some different shades.

Maybelline Color Show Party Girl Nail Polishes:
Texture and Quality: Maybelline Party Girl range are a beautiful top coat range and all the shades have a party-like glittery texture. Like the name, theses are perfect for parties and contain lots of chunky glitters. It has a medium-thin texture with some big glitters as well as has some micro fine glitters in it. Though it contains lots of glitters, yet it glides well on nails without any tugging. It evenly spreads on nails and I love its even smooth beautiful finish. It never looks patchy, but it takes extra few minutes to dry completely, so I have to wait around 10 minutes. It’s not a quick drying nail paint. These shades settle into a high shine glittery texture and make nails party perfect. It actually has a luxe polished finish and it can be used individually as a nail paint too.
Shades: This range has 8 beautiful shades and it has a nice variety of shades for all. I love few of them but I only picked two from this range. Basically, Maybelline already has such glittery range, so I already have such shades. I only picked up those shades which I don’t have. Still, I love the shade range and the colors are much pigmented as well. It is not only a top coat shade, so I used it as a nail color and yes, it perfectly occupies my nails and provides a nice color pay off. It requires two to three strokes on bare nails and as a top coat, it only requires single stroke to provide that bang on glittery effect.
Bedazzle: This shade is a beautiful silver glittery shade with lots of chunky silver glitters in it and it also has fine micro glitters that make for a beautiful base as well. So, overall, it looks beautiful and will suit any skin tone. It works very well as a top coat with all shades.
Tequila Sunrise: It is actually a reddish coral glittery shade with chunky big size pink glitters and some micro golden, pink and coral glitters. It is a mixed shade and reflects beautifully on nails. I can’t properly explain the shade but it is a beautiful mix of red and pink. Here, on my nails, it looks more of red as I applied it on red nails, but if you apply it on pinks nails it will look pink so it is a perfect shade for all base colors.
Staying Power: This glittery range lasts quite long on nails around 1 week and after that, the shine looks a little faded, but I am really impressed by its staying power as it doesn’t chip either. It stays really good. But, such glittery shades are really difficult to remove. It takes a long time to remove them properly. I mostly use my Kara Nail Polish Remover Wipes to remove these shades and it works well with that remover. Otherwise, with a normal remover, it is a difficult job.
Overall, I love the shade Tequila Sunrise; it looks so pretty on nails, and perfect for Indian parties. It goes perfectly with our traditional dresses. Only, again, I expected something new from Maybelline.

• Difficult to remove glitters from nails
• Maybelline already have such glittery range, so I expected something new
