5 Oil Free Moisturizers For Winters

5 Oil Free Moisturizers For Winters

Winter is a tricky season for oily skin, the rough and chilly weather causes the skin to dry up but then one cannot use heavy moisturizers or cold creams meant for dry skin because that would clog up pores with sebum and lead to acne. The lightweight gel moisturizes do not provide adequate moisturization in this season.  Most women with oily skin continue with gel moisturizers even in winters because of lack of options.  However, here’s a list of some oil-free moisturizers that hydrate oily skin without making the skin greasy, clogging pores or causing acne.  So, don’t skip the CTM routine this season, pick one from this list:

1.  Neutrogena Oil Free Moisture – Facial Moisturizer with UVA/UVB Sun Protection:

Price:  Rs. 250

Neutrogena Oil-Free Moisture SPF 15 is clinically proven to combine long-lasting moisturisation with effective sun protection for softer, smoother, younger looking skin.  Acts as a good oil free base for makeup, gets absorbed into the skin very fast.

2.  Lotus Herbals Alphamoist Alpha Hydroxyl Skin Renewal Oil-Free Moisturizer:

Price:  Rs. 214

Plant derived Alpha Hydroxy extracts present in this light moisturizer replenish moisture, provide a vibrant smooth complexion and reveal fresh newer skin. The complexion is rejuvenated into looking and feeling younger.

3.  Elizabeth Arden Visible Difference Oil-Free Lotion:

Price:  Rs. 2800

Moisturizing while maintaining shine control.  This ultra-light lotion comes to the rescue with instant and lasting shine control and oil-free hydration where needed. Also fights breakouts and blemishes.  A lightweight, oil-free lotion that leaves your skin properly hydrated and smooth-looking with a soft matte finish while delivering lasting shine control and helping to fight breakouts. Clinically and dermatologist tested. Non-comedogenic. Can be used both morning and night.

4.  Clinique Dramatically Different Moisturizing Gel/Lotion:

Price:  Rs. 2850

Clinique Dramatically Different Moisturizing Gel

Both the gel and lotion are oil free, non-comedogenic, and would not block pores.  More than the gel, the lotion works better in winters to give a nicely moisturized skin.

5.  Cetaphil Moisturising Lotion:

There is a variety of lotions available under the Cetaphil brand for every skin type, even sensitive and oily skin.  You would be able to make a choice whether you want oil control or lotion that though is meant for dry skin but which you can use in winters because Cetaphil lotions do not clog pores and are dermatologically tested.

That was my list, please feel free to add.  One last option I want to add is the Clinique Moisture Surge Moisturizers which is so awesome, it hydrates the skin without letting it go greasy.
