Well, like any gal, I love grooming my nails considering they add the oomph factor to our personality. My Experience with Sephora Collection Color Hit Nail Polish – Walk on the Wild Side, Have U Ever, Tribal Tattoo, Speed Dating, Mystic Gothic:

As always, I can’t take my eyes off these cute little bottles. Each and every shade is gorgeous and comes in a small, cute bottle with a brush applicator. I adore the small but wide brush applicator as it gives a neat finish with every use. I have travelled with a carton full of nail lacquers earlier as well which explains why these are not only cute but quite sturdy and durable also. So, this time, I was inclined towards greens too apart from my all-time favorite hot pink.

1. Walk on the Wild Side

It is a sizzling shimmery green nail polish with a creamy and smooth finish. Even though the formula is shimmery, the finish is always smooth. It has the perfect sticky-creamy consistency which imparts full color payoff; not to forget, the broad brush makes the application easy, smooth and fast. I like how it gives a non-frosty but even toned pigmented color payoff in just one swipe. I use a second swipe to intensify the color, though. It gives an instant boost to my complexion and gives an illusion of longer nails, whether I apply this on well-groomed nails or not. It has a smooth, non-patchy and glossy finish which stays put for good 4-5 days while I see mild chipping from the edges after the 6th day. Considering I wear it on bare nails without any top or base coat, the performance is pretty commendable. I will rate it 4.5/5!

2. Have U Ever

It appears to be a matte pink with a cream finish and no shimmers. It has a bit watery and thin consistency, which implies that at least 2-3 swipes are required for a smooth and even-toned finish and full color payoff. Still, I love this one for it never appears streaky or patchy on my nails; in fact, it does not look cakey or flaky even with multiple swipes, considering I add 3 layers for an intense color payoff and glossy finish. It stays put for longer than other shades – for more than a week exceptionally with no chipping or flaking at all. Considering this is a soft muted pink color I think it may or may not work on a variety of skin tones. Personally, I love it on my light complexion, and would rate it 4.5/5!

3. Tribal Tattoo

It is a matte green nail polish with a milky-creamy formula. This one also has a little thin consistency and is a little translucent. Hence this one requires 2-3 swipes for a fully saturated color payoff. No worries, it sets to a smooth and glossy finish on the nails even with multiple swipes. I absolutely love how it makes my fingers appears longer, slender and more presentable with its bright glossy color. This is by far my most loved and used color from this collection, considering I don’t own such milky matte greens and that it pairs well with most of my black, white and even floral outfits. Not to forget, it manages to stay put for good 7+ days on my nails with regular household work. I will rate it 4.9/5!

4. Speed Dating

Such a hot fuchsia pink shade! A love at first sight! I just love it unconditionally for its bright intense color payoff which gives instant oomph to my dull hands. It does have a little thin consistency but the formula is quite sticky that does not appear patchy or streaky. It gives full coverage and a glossy finish in just 2 swipes while it stays put for good 6+ days. It does seem to feather from the ends by the 7th day, but I simply adore this bright fuchsia pink on my light skin tone. No doubt it is one of the must-have shades. I will rate it 4.7/5!

5. Mystic Gothic

Ooh-la-la! This one is a sizzling, seductive and shimmery purple ink. I bet you would want to grow your nails out to wear this shade. To my surprise, the color looks creamy brinjal purple on my nails. I thought the shimmers will affect the shade but these shimmers have taken the color to another level. Never mind it looks pretty decent with a creamy smooth finish. It has a bit tricky formula; it has a watery thin consistency which often appears streaky on the nails and I need good 1-2 extra swipes to even out the edges and finish. It sets to a smooth and glossy finish but the texture is tricky. Honestly, I didn’t like this shade on the very first day, but then I became interested in this shade. It stays on for good 4-5 days with regular work, thereby chipping off from the edges and tips. Still, it takes good 6+ days to completely chip off. I don’t think I own any such shade in my stash, though I won’t mind skipping it either. I will rate it 4/5!

Overall: Ignoring the few minor disappointments, I feel these are so price-worthy if you can get them for a dollar (I bought them on sale for 1 dollar each. Yay!). I have always bought these shades at a discount and these have always worked for me; even better than other drugstore and high-end brands. I highly recommend this range!
