6 Bollywood’s Timeless Beauties Who Kicked Off Fashion Trends!
Hi ladies,

I am back with another Bollywood post, I hope you guys are not bored of them. 😛
Bollywood beauties have always sparked off trends in every era, some of them worked, some of them did not. I believe old is gold and I personally like to watch old Hindi movies from Shammi Kapoor and Rajesh Khanna’s era. And I have always been intrigued by their leading ladies’ style.
So here I am listing few bollywood actresses who broke all the records and set fashion trends like no other.

Sadhana
She was a perfect personification of innocence and beauty. Her eyes were the most expressive ones. She was a beautiful actress with a flair for style.
She wore Muslim style tight-churidar kurtis in a movie Waqt that became hugely popular amongst young girls. Her movie Waqt till date remains one of the most stylish movies of all times.
Who can forget her trademark Sadhana cut, her fringed haircut that became the hottest hairstyle after her hit movie Hum Dono?
Zeenat Aman
She had that bohemian chic style vibe to her. Apart from having a stunning body, she had an amazing sense of style. She had a figure that could carry off anything with so much ease.
She could slip into a bikini as easily as she could slip into a salwar kameez or even a sari.
In her times, when most of her contemporaries were seen covered in heavy sarees and layers of makeup, she was seen carrying hot bikinis, knotty blouses and thigh high dresses with so much aplomb.
Whatever she wore, it looked sexy, be it a sari or her long slit skirts.
Helen
She was the golden girl of Bollywood. In the 60s and 70s, no film was complete without her item number. She was the ultimate show girl.
Helen, a confident and uninhibited girl who could carry off anything with so much grace. Even in her skimpiest of clothes she never looked obscene or vulgar, such was her persona. She was never dull.
Her exotic wigs, sequins and all of her costumes brought a sense of style and were so much in rage in her time.
Rekha
When I hear her name, Kanjeevaram sarees, chandelier earrings, smoky eyes and bold red lips come to my mind. She exudes a certain charm and aura wherever she goes.
In earlier times in her life she was termed as an ugly duckling, it took her many years to transform into a vivacious diva that she is even today. Her pristine white churidars in Silsila, her anarkalis in Umrao jaan, all became trendsetters and are in vogue even today.
Saira Banu
She made a successful debut at a tender age of 16. She was a personification of charisma and style.
If we talk about bollywood in 60s, we can easily remember winged eyeliner and poufy hair. These trends were made popular by this beauty. Her classic bangs that fell over her forehead are popular even today. Her loud and peppy long skirts and dresses were the major fashion trend of bollywood.
Sharmila Tagore
She was one of those actresses who could look stylish, sensuous and sophisticated all at the same time. This dimpled Bengali beauty looked good in whatever she wore. She could play de glam roles as well as glamorous roles with so much ease.
Her popular double winged liner look and her bouffant hairdo all went down in history as trends. After the release of her movie Aradhna, trend of chiffon and cotton became a rage amongst all age groups of ladies.
An evening in Paris set off a cultural wave in India when she stunned everyone with her daring two piece bikini act.
I hope you ladies liked my post.
