1. Sea salt bath:
Salt baths are quite relaxing and calm your skin and body. Not to mention, it helps in flushing out the dirt and toxins from the skin as well. You can soak yourself in the salt bath as long as you want because sea salt is quite moisturizing, and it does not let your skin feel stretchy or tacky.
How to use: Take a cup of sea salt and 2 cups of Epsom salt. Mix them together. Add some essential oil of your choice. Keep the mixture in an airtight container. You just have to add a quarter cup of bath salt in the warm water and soak yourself for at least 15 minutes.
2. Sea salt scrub:
Sea salt helps in eliminating dirt, grime, and oil from the skin very efficiently. It provides a good amount of moisture and restores the skin’s brightness while exfoliating the dead skin layer.
How to use: Take a cup full of sea salt. Add a half cup of sweet almond oil to the sea salt and mix well. The mixture you get should be thick. Add 2-3 capsules of vitamin E and give it a good mix. Now, you can add a few drops of your desired essential oil to it. Like, if you want a refreshing scent, you can use lemongrass oil. If you want a stimulating scrub, you can opt for rosemary essential oil and your scrub will be ready. Store the mixture in an airtight glass container.
3. Sea salt body mist:
Vitamins and minerals present in the sea salt help in nourishing the skin cells. It keeps the skin hydrated and boosts the blood circulation as well. Using it in a body mist helps in controlling the body odour for a good amount of time.
How to use: Take a tablespoon of sea salt and a quarter teaspoon of Epsom salt. Mix them well with a cup of warm distilled water. Add lemongrass or bergamot essential oil for refreshing scent. Once it cools down, pour the mixture into a spray bottle.
4. Sea salt face pack:
Sea salt helps in balancing the oil secretion. It is considered to work great for acne-prone skin as it soothes down the inflammation caused due to acne. It also treats them and keeps the acne-causing bacteria at bay.
How to use: Take a tablespoon of sea salt and mix it with a nominal quantity of warm water to dissolve the salt. Add two tablespoons of honey and a few drops of lemon juice to it. Mix all the ingredients well and apply this over the skin. Let it sit for 10-15 minutes and later, wash it off with lukewarm water.
5. Sea salt scalp treatment:
Sea salt helps in absorbing the excess oil from the scalp and keeps it clean. It helps in reducing the dry flakes from the scalp and makes it dandruff-free. Aside from this, it keeps the scalp moisturized and prevents it from any fungal attack as well.
How to use: Take 2 tablespoons of sea salt, and mix it with the required amount of olive oil or jojoba oil or any other carrier oil of your choice. Massage your scalp with the prepared concoction, and leave it for 10-15 minutes before rinsing off.
6. Sea salt nail brightening treatment:
Minerals present in the sea salt help in strengthening your nails. It keeps them moisturized and also, helps in treating any discolorations.
How to use: Take one tablespoon of sea salt, lemon juice, and baking soda. Mix them together in a cup of warm water. Add 2-3 drops of tea tree essential oil to it. Soak your nails in the mixture for 15 minutes and later, scrub them off with the help of a toothbrush.
