Though many girls prefer using eyebrow pencils to fill in the empty spaces in between their brows, still eyebrow tinting is considerably a preferable option as it lasts for a comparatively longer duration. But, there are certain aspects which you need to keep in mind if you are planning to give it a shot.

1. Avoid DIY Treatments:
If it is your first time, then you should probably keep your hands away from any DIY methods for brow tinting. Although the procedure requires no rocket science, still you will never know what you might end up doing to your brows in your very first attempt. Plus, if you are not very familiar with colouring and dyeing, then you can go to a salon for your first brow tinting treatment.
2. Choose the Colour Carefully:
It is the most important aspect of eyebrow tinting as the right colour can do wonders for you while the wrong shade will lead to a complete disaster. Besides, the colour of tint matters, especially if you have light coloured eyebrows. If you prefer to wear minimal makeup along with a regular eyeliner, then you must avoid using lighter shades. Also, you are required to ditch the tints that exactly match your hair colour. So, there has to be a balance of colours between your hair and eyebrows.
3. Prep your Brows:
Whether you are doing it by yourself or heading to a salon, make sure that your eyebrows are ready to get tinted. Your brows should be clean without any makeup, before undergoing the process of tinting. In order to avoid any mess, you can brush your eyebrows as it will make the process easier.
4. Pay Attention to Eye Protection:
Paying attention to eye protection is the foremost thing if you are doing it at home. You can apply some Vaseline near your brows to prevent any stains. Moreover, you need to ensure that the texture of tint is not too thin as it might seep into your eyes, eyelids or lashes.
5. Look out for a pattern:
You need to stick to a pattern while applying the tint, especially when there is no uniformity in the shape of your eyebrows. You need to start from the middle of your forehead from where your eyebrows start. Do it carefully, so you only colour your brows and do not end up in ruining the shape of your eyebrows. Also, analyse the shape of your eyebrows before you apply the tint on them.
6. Don’t leave the dye on for too long:
Eyebrow tinting is a great idea for bringing a nice change on your face, but overdoing can ruin it all. Make sure that you don’t leave the colour on your brows for too long. Generally, the drying time varies for different tints, but light brown or black shade will take a minute or two to dry. If you are using a kit, then you must go with the instructions mentioned on it. The removal of eyebrow tint may require a little scrubbing, but don’t be too harsh on your eyebrows.
Lastly, I would like to mention that trying eyebrow tinting using a hair colour may not be a great idea. Several popular brands offer an entire kit for eyebrow tinting. So, you can ditch your brow pencil and look out for a brow tint kit that would suit your face well.
