Tips to Get Rid of Uneven Skin Tone Before Wedding

And unfortunately, not everyone is blessed with beautiful glowing skin; skin traumas like dark spots, uneven skin tone, patches may play the spoilt sport! These skin issues are a cause of excessive melanin production in the skin, and you find a number of products in the market to counter them; however, it is always safer to go with home remedies! Listed below are home remedies that take care of any skin issues that one may have, and will help you get that beautiful complexion on your big-day!

1. Lemon Juice:

This is no rocket science, as pretty much everyone is aware of the goodness of lemon juice for skin! Lemons being rich in Vitamin C and citric acid are considered to be one of the most efficient ingredients in treating dark patches! Lemon juice can be applied with the help of a cotton ball on the area that has been affected or the entire face and shall be left for a good 20-30 minutes! One thing to keep in mind is not to be exposed to the sun while you have applied the juice!

Mix rose water with sandalwood and apply it on your face, leaving it on for 20 minutes and wash off. You could also use this as a spot treatment the same way, by leaving it on overnight. You could also add glycerin to the mixture for dry skin.

Milk is rich in lactic acid, which is great for skin lightening. Applying raw milk to the affected area and leaving it on overnight is great to treat skin concerns. You could also use chaanch, i.e., butter milk mixed with lemon juice if you have an oily skin or you suffer from acne. Washing your face with raw milk is great and it is a great substitute to water in face-packs!

4. Aloe Vera:

This is one of the most talked about ingredient in skin care, as it can cure any kind of skin worries. You just need fresh aloe vera; scrape out the gel and apply on the affected area. Keep it for 30 minutes before you wash off. For a healthy body, consuming two spoons of aloe vera juice on an empty stomach is of great help.

5. Yogurt:

As good as it is for your body, it is great for your skin too, especially on dark spots and patches! Use it on patches for 20-30 minutes and wash with cold water. You could also make a face-pack by adding 1 tablespoon of yogurt, 1 teaspoon of lemon juice and 2 tablespoons of oatmeal and applying it to your face for a good 30 minutes and then washing off with cold water. A mixture of honey, rose water and yogurt works just as good as well.

6. Potatoes:

We are all aware that potato juice works on dark circles, but did you know it possesses bleaching properties? Grate a potato and squeeze out the juice. Wet cotton rounds in it and place them on the affected area for a good thirty minutes, or use cotton for application. Wash off with lukewarm water after 15 minutes. Rose water can be added to potato juice and used on the skin. Another great way to use potatoes for oily skin is to make a paste of honey, lemon and potatoes. You will be able to effectively reduce skin pigmentation and get a lighter skin tone naturally.

Always remember that home remedies do take some time to show results, but the results they offer are long-lasting.
