Maybelline Colorshow 6 Nail Paints

Hello Beauties…!!

It was my birthday on the 30th and I bought a lot of Maybelline Colorshow nail paints when I went shopping for it. The moment I got them the first thing that came to my mind was to review it here. All the colors that I got are very pretty. The ones that I will be reviewing today are:

• Crazy Berry
• Choco Sin
• Tenacious Teal
• Keep up the flame
• Fiesty Fuschia
• Orange Fix

All the shades are very bright and have no shimmer at all.

What the company claims:

Stay right on trend from your tips to your toes with new Maybelline Color Show. Our gel based formula with color popping pigments, comes in 40 bold, super stylish shades that look great on nails. So go on, mix, match and make the most of color.

Price:

75 INR for 6 ml

Directions for use:

To begin with apply a clear base coat, to prevent your nails from yellowing. It also helps your nail color last longer. Paint the first line of nail polish from the centre of your nail starting from the base to the tip. Leave a small space at the base of the nail to get a clean look. Then apply nail color to the rest of the nail.

My take on Maybelline Colorshow Nail Paints:

The nail paints come in cute glass bottles with a black cap. The bottle is cylindrical in shape. The color is clearly visible from the bottle and the shade number and color are written on the top of the cap. Coming on to the brush, it is very easy to use. It just takes out the right quantity required and doesn’t leave any marks.

At this price, the nail paints are pigmented very well and have the perfect texture. When I am in a hurry, I just apply a single coat and I am ready to go. The second coat does bring out the perfect color. It has been advised to apply a base coat but I skip it often and I still haven’t seen any yellowing of nails. You need to shake them before using otherwise it may turn out to be a little thick for application. The nail paints dry out fast. It stays on for good 5-6 days. I do observe some chipping after 3-4 days but at this price it is not an issue.

Coming on the shades:

Crazy Berry: It is a deep purple shade. It is a must have shade for every purple lover like me. The shade would suit people with fair hands a lot. It is a shade perfect for night time makeup.

Choco Sin: It is the lone brown shade I have till now. It looks superb on our nails. I love it to the core because it can be used as an everyday shade. The name is apt for the shade and sometimes it does make we want to drink hot chocolate.

Tenacious Teal: It is a subtle green shade with a blue tint. You just need to apply a single coat to get the opaque shade. It has become my recent favorite shade and even my nails love it too.

Keep up the flame: The range doesn’t have many reds to choose from. This shade is a bright red shade. It is not too deep but just perfect. It is an apt shade for the current wedding season.

Fiesty Fuschia: It a neon pink shade. It is a pink shade every girl wishes to have in her collection. It can be used for daily application as it just brightens your day and which girl doesn’t love pink.

Orange Fix: It is a bright orange shade. It has slight runny consistency than other shades and you need to apply two coats of it to get the perfect opaque finish.

• Applicator is just perfect.

• Well pigmented.

Cons of Maybelline Colorshow Nail Paints :

  1. Nice snaps ….Even i got 7-8 of the shades from this range still want tenacious teal and orange fix…rutva m jealous…20 colorshow nailpaints !!!!

  2. I also have some shades from this range which I bought during Dushhera shopping. Though I love the colors a lot (which actually tempted me to buy those) but the staying power is very less. I will not actually try any other from this range again. And if we talk about price, Streetwear and Elle18 come with lot of beautiful colors at similar price range and they stay for long on my nails.

  3. I have not tried Streetwear or Elle 18…..and i actually dont do any kind of work that involves damaging my nails…so for me the staying power is satisfactory…

    1. I would be glad to give you all the nail colors…but it took me years to get these nails…used to bite nails as a child… 🙂
