The spring season is all about bright, poppy hues and sheer makeup. It’s best to keep your makeup minimal, while incorporating some bright colours into your beauty routine.

1. Swap your foundation with a BB/CC cream or a tinted moisturizer:
The spring season is all about fresh and dewy skin. For this reason, you’d want to swap your heavy, matte and full coverage foundation for a very light one. You should pick a base product that it is light both in terms of coverage and texture, so that it looks natural and feels comfortable on the skin. For a fresh and dewy look, tinted moisturizers, BB creams and CC creams work best. You can also add some serum or moisturizer to your heavier foundations to create your own tinted moisturizer suited for this season.
2. Inject some colour into your beauty routine:
The spring season is all about experimenting with colour. From bright blues and greens on the eyes to fresh pinks and reds on your cheeks and lips, this is time of the year for you to build up the colour on your face. Nowadays, cushion formula makeup products are all the rage in the beauty world. In addition to cushion foundations, there are now cushion blushes and cushion bronzers as well. L’Oreal and Lancôme have some great options for cushion products. These are essentially liquid/cream products in a compact. This means that they are easy to carry around, easy to reapply and they look very natural, dewy and fresh on the skin.
5. Opt for cream blushes and bronzers:
If you’re not yet comfortable with the cushion makeup trend, then you could simply try using cream or liquid blushes and bronzers for a more dewy and natural burst of colour on your skin. You could also double up your lipstick to work as a matching blush. Additionally, you can use a liquid concealer or a foundation that is a couple of shades darker than your skin tone to act as a natural-looking bronzer/contour.
6. Switch up those lip products:
While the winter season was all about those full-coverage, matte and liquid lipsticks in bold and dark hues, the spring season will see creamy mattes, glosses and lip crayons back in trend. Tinted lip butters and lip balms are also a great way to inject the right amount of polished colour into your makeup routine. It takes minimal effort and looks natural and lightweight, which is ideal for the spring season.
