Today’s post is a little different from the ones that we usually read about skincare. Skincare tips mostly pertain to doing the right thing for your skin—cleansing correctly, toning regularly, moisturising deeply, applying multiple serums and facial oils, using face masks weekly, etc. While these things are good for the health of your skin, they may or may not feel great while you’re doing them. Skincare routines can often be tedious and tiring, and we seem to be doing the same things every single day without necessarily being able to see and feel the results immediately. So, this post is all about the ways that you can do to make your skin feel really, really good. Of course, in addition to all these things, it’s also important that you still stick to your regular skincare routine and to the products that work for your skin type and concerns. However, when you feel like pampering your skin and allowing it to feel nurtured and relaxed, you can try these out.
Read on to know them.
1. Ice Cubes and Cold Spoons:
These two wonderful items that come out of your fridge can really relax and rejuvenate your skin. Pop in a couple of steel spoons into your fridge at night and store them there overnight. Place these cold spoons over your puffy and tired eyes in the morning. This will instantly lift you up and make your skin look and feel awake, fresh and lovely. Take an ice cube and rub it all over your face to inject it with a shot of energy. This will also minimise your pores and leave your skin to feel cool and refreshed.
2. A Minimal Skincare Routine:
Instead of adhering to an elaborate skin care routine that entails countless products like lotions, serums, treatments and masks, just minimise your skincare ritual to the following three products: cleanser, toner and moisturiser. These three will do the job perfectly and can revive and hydrate your skin just as well as any other elaborate process can.
3. Facial Massage:
When applying your moisturiser, take a couple of minutes to give yourself a little facial massage using the same. You will be surprised to see how much of a difference this makes. It helps in increasing the blood circulation and reduce puffiness. Your skin will instantly feel relaxed like never before.
4. Sweating it Out:
A little bit of exercise can do wonders for your skin. When you sweat it out, you release a fair share of toxins from your body as well as your skin. Post-exercise, you will find that your skin feels naturally cleansed and revived. Pick any sport or activity of your choice.
5. Red Wine and Dark Chocolate:
Yes, these two delicacies can actually make your skin look and feel a lot better! Red wine and dark chocolate are both loaded with antioxidants, which help in protecting your skin while giving it a healthy, happy glow.
6. Pore Strips and Exfoliation:
There’s nothing as satisfying and relaxing as a good and deep facial scrubbing session. Using pore strips on your nose can help clear up the clogged and congested skin in that region and also get rid of blackheads and whiteheads. A good exfoliating scrub or your favourite cleanser used on a facial brush can help increase the blood circulation, clarify your skin and instantly make it feel renewed and rejuvenated.
7. Catching up on Sleep:
Finally, there’s nothing as magical in effect as catching up on those hours of beauty sleep. Getting adequate rest and drinking plenty of water can take care of many of your skin concerns while allowing your skin to look and feel great.
