Do not underestimate DIY beauty remedies

Count the number of days left your wedding and get started with DIY beauty treatments. These chemical-free and inexpensive beauty session will ensure you glow, just like how a bride should. Here are the best remedies to try:
Face: Raw milk, honey and turmeric packs for moisturisation, glow and fairness.
Lips: Ghee or olive oil massage to make them soft and pink.
Hair: Don’t forget regular oiling and deep conditioning; try DIYs with coconut oil, olive oil and bananas.
Arms and Legs: I prefer doing a besan and turmeric massage or besan and curd massage to reduce unwanted hair and tanning; then I apply to milk, leave it on for some time and wash with fresh water for best results.
Nails: Get a proper nail care kit with a buffer and cuticle oil. Give your nails a regular olive oil massage.

Book your appointments well in advance

I am planning to do a completely new post about this as some brides freak out when it comes to salon appointments. There is a list of things you need to get done by a professional before the big day. Talk to the salon about everything, consider packages and try to pamper yourself as much as you can.

Go for multiple trials

Whether it’s your makeup, hair or the wedding dress, do go for multiple trials to be sure. Make sure there is no last minute blunder so that you can enjoy your big day with all your loved ones. Also, go for services like hair straightening, coloring, extensions etc well in advance so that you have enough time to finalise your bridal look.

Opt for a light-reflecting base

Winter light gives a bluish tone which deepens dark spots and dark circles. So instead of going for a matte and flat foundation, opt for a light-reflecting concealer and foundation to cover up your blemishes. This kind of base will add a nice radiance and look amazing in winters.

Opt for highlighters and not shimmers

Many brides go for the shimmery look on their big day. But shimmery look does not look elegant and does not photograph well either. If you love highlighter, opt for a finely milled formula that won’t create a mess on your face. Also, go subtle with makeup and focus on only one feature at a time.

Take a superfoods rich diet

Nothing can enhance your beauty from within like superfoods. They increase the health and beauty of your skin, shrink your pores and make sure that you do not develop any pimple on your wedding day.

Use a salt scrub for elbows and knees

Whether it is summer or winter, brides cannot remain covered in woolens. Hence do not let your dead skin cells spoil your look. Salt-based scrubs work best to remove darkness and dullness from the skin in winters.
