The wedding season is on full swing in India and the atmosphere is so festive and positive right now. Most of the brides don the classic tight bun updos for her marriage rituals and sometimes also for functions leading to marriage. Let’s find out some different hairstyles that you can sport other than the tight bun!
1. A Messy Braided Hairstyle
Messy braids go with all your outfits and look really chic. You can have a middle parting of your hair to place the maang tika. Keep all your hair at one side of the shoulder and have them braided in style you like. Do not make it tight. As you are a bride, you can go for heavy accessories to go on the braid from flowers to pearls.
2. The Traditional Braid
This is the typical south Indian style braid adorned with flowers, vintage hair ornaments or golden accessories. If you don’t have the required length of hair, then you can always go for hair extensions.
3. Open Curls and Waves
This is a great hairstyle to try for a cocktail party or your reception also. The key is to curl your hair to give them a voluminous appearance using a hold spray and a bit of teasing. If you want to keep your hair open, then you can definitely go for this one.
4. Half up – Half Down
There are so many versions of this hairstyle and this goes best with medium length hair. This is modern free flowing hairstyle with a bouffant. You can choose to go for soft curls for the open hair and a pouf around the crown area of the head.
5. Voluminous Long Hairstyle
If you have got naturally wavy long hair tresses and want to show them off, then this is the one for you. This hairstyle is very simple, elegant and so feminine. This hairstyle requires holding sprays and lot of teasing but still is quite fuss free. You can choose to adorn your head with accessories too.
6. Messy Buns
When you don’t want a tight bun and want a messy and carefree look, then messy buns are a way to go. These buns are perfect for a sangeet ceremony. You can add some softness to the face with some curls and strands left on either side of the face. You can also add some hair accessories or hair bands to make the look stand out even more.
7. Low Curly Updo
This hairstyle gives a twist to the traditional updos. The hair is parted from the middle, and sides are curled and made into a direct bun or they are braided into a bun. You can adorn your crown area with a beaded headband to amplify your look even more.
