We all know that daily exercise; drinking loads of water and skin miniaturisation along with exfoliation go a long way in preventing ageing and crow’s feet around the eyes. As Era had mentioned earlier, not only does one need to follow all of the above-mentioned points strictly, one also needs to have a good, nutritious and balanced diet rich in omega -3 to moisturise the skin and for the wondrous glow, fibre to flush out the toxins to keep your digestive system happy and this happiness will also show on your skin and vitamins and minerals for that added suppleness and glow.

7+Foods+To+Delay+Ageing

Not only is fast food bad for your skin and health, but it has long been known to be one of the major factors behind a hectic and stressful lifestyle. They only make you lazy and moody, things which don’t do anything for you and only cause more harm.  So, bin that happy meal (note, Author’s favourite. Never too old to collect toys. She is always up for a happy meal date) and grab the foods mentioned below:

Fish (especially Salmon):

An important part of Japanese and Mediterranean cuisines , fishes provide you with the very important anti-ageing omega-3 fatty acids that help combat heart diseases, reduce inflammation, lower blood pressure and decrease the risk of arrhythmia. The most amount of omega-3 is found in cold-water fishes, especially Salmon. If you are not able to include the daily dose of fish, you take fish oil supplements. They are one of the best sources of antioxidants available and they go a long way in fighting radicals and slowing the ageing process. Your best bets would be figs, avocados, asparagus, tomatoes and green leafy vegetables like spinach and kale.  Most of the fruits and vegetables like Papayas, Tomatoes, kale, Spinach , etc al not only contain antioxidants to slow down the ageing process, but also protect against harmful effect s of UV exposure. Added bonus is that they are great for the immune system and help the body fortify itself against sickness and disease, reducing the pressure on your body and hence, your beautiful face.

Whole Grains:

Whole grains, oats, flax, poppy, wheatgerm, granola, sunflower seeds.

Rich in fibre, vitamins, minerals and antioxidants, these grains can lower the risk of age-related illnesses. Also, help prevent high blood sugar levels and diabetes. Make sure the grains you eat aren’t refined as this would ensure that they are not striped off most of their nutrition.

Nuts:

Pistachio

My absolute favorite on this list, Pistachios, Almonds, Walnuts, I want them all.  Like fishes, they are rich in protein and omega -3 fatty acids and unsaturated fat (the healthy fat), only difference is that they don’t need to be stewed or cooked.  Munch on Ladies! 4.) Meditate and do yoga daily.
