7 Tips to Get Music Fest Ready

Hey there!
With the Bacardi NH7 Weekender and the Sunburn concerts around the corner, it’s time to get out there and have the most memorable times with your buddies!

7 tips to get music fest ready-1

Here are some handy tips and checklist to ensure that you get the most out of each festival!

1) Keep it stylish but also comfortable!

Music festivals are the perfect time to flaunt your style! Experiment with your crop tops, maxis, playsuits but always wear something that will keep you comfortable for the entire day. Avoid highly tight fitting clothes if you are going to be at an event for the major part of the day. You also don’t want to keep worrying about your bra straps showing every time you dance to the beats of your favorite band; so choose the right kind of lingerie. Also keep the weather in mind while deciding your outfit. You may want to skip the leather jacket if it’s sweltering hot outside!

2) Shoe worries

Ladies ditch the heels please! When you are at a concert jumping and dancing around, you want to be able to do it without hurting your soles and the person dancing next to you. Especially if you are at an event like the NH7 Weekender where you might have to walk around, take it easy on your feet. Neither do you want to walk around in flimsy flip flops. Boots and flat shoes are one of the surest ways to go! From metallic to floral patterns–there’s something for each of your moods!

3) Makeup mania
The heat and sweat is bound to ruin your makeup and may not last a long day. I’d suggest going for a more natural look and avoiding the entire primer-foundation-concealer-compact routine. You could use a bit of concealer to cover any visible spots, set it with a compact and use a bright shade of lip color and eye liner to rock your makeup game! However, if you do opt for the entire routine, carry some face mist to freshen up later! Also carry some makeup wipes along.

4) Rock your hairstyles

Ditch the plain old leaving-your-hair-open style. Experiment with braids, braided pony tails, messy buns, half up half down updos, headbands, funky hair clips, hats, etc. The Internet is filled with easy hairstyles for all kinds of hair and will make you look more beautiful.

5) Protect your skin
Do not leave your home without applying generous amounts of a really good sunscreen and moisturizer. It’s okay if you don’t have any makeup on but do not go out in the day without your sunblock on! Your skin needs to look healthy and you cannot afford to damage your skin in the process.

6) Keep yourself hydrated
Keep sipping on water or fruit juices (NOT sodas) at all times. If you have a long day ahead, you want to keep up your strength and not get tired easily. Staying hydrated has its own merits in keeping you fresh all day long.

7) Essentials to carry
Some things to carry along at your event – sanitizer, paper soap and (wet) wipes because you never know what kind of sanitation facilities might be there, cash/credit cards, identity proof, a power bank, if required, cameras, water bottle, and so on. Recharge your phone with sufficient balance and data pack if you are a prepaid user!
