Power yoga is a close resemblance to Ashtanga yoga which was introduced to make the style popular in other countries except in India. Power yoga does not contain a series of poses that should be followed strictly, but it allows the instructor to teach all the stretches and poses according to the need.

2. Hatha Yoga:

Hatha yoga is one of the basic yoga styles which contains a lot of easy and effective poses. It includes a lot of breathing exercises and asanas which are low in intensity. Hatha yoga is extremely beneficial for beginners as it helps to lose weight and also keeps your mind calm and relaxed.

3. Bikram Yoga:

Bikram yoga is a popular form of yoga which is performed under high temperature. In this yoga style, yoga is performed in a room with a temperature of 40.6°C and a humidity of 40%. According to studies, it is said that Bikram yoga can help to tone your muscles and also relaxes your mind. In Bikram yoga, there are a series of 26 yoga poses which should be performed without a break.

4. Iyengar Yoga:

One important factor to consider while doing Iyengar yoga is to apply intense focus and pressure while practising each posture. Iyengar yoga was first initiated by B.K.S. Iyengar and today it is one among the renowned forms of yoga. Iyengar yoga also makes use of props, chairs, blankets and blocks so that you can do a particular posture with more intensity.

5. Restorative Yoga:

Restorative yoga is a common form of yoga which helps to relax and soothe the body nerves. Restorative yoga involves using blocks, props, and chairs so that the body can bend to an infinity posture by using a support. Restorative yoga is extremely good for people with back or body pain. It is advisable to perform Restorative yoga on every alternate day.

6. Vinyasa Yoga:

Vinyasa yoga is similar to any other yoga sessions, but there is a slight difference in Vinyasa. In vinyasa yoga session, the teacher is allowed to play the music and then start performing the yoga accordingly. Vinyasa yoga carries an idea of boosting your mind with music and body with yoga. The asanas performed in Vinyasa yoga is almost similar to Hatha yoga.

7. Kundalini Yoga:

Kundalini Yoga involves exercises, chanting, techniques and mantras along with a workout. Each Kundalini exercise is known as Kriya and is repeated with a deep and intense breath. This practice is done to awaken the soul and energy from within. The only difference between Kundalini Yoga and Hatha yoga is that it involves intensive breathing.

Yin yoga is famous for its kind because it focuses on lengthening connective tissues. Yin Yoga goes for a longer period of time compared to other yoga sessions as it helps to relax the muscles and allow the gravity to do its work. If you are practising Yin yoga, it is essential to practice patience as well. Yin Yoga is not recommended for people who are super-flexible or have connective tissue disorders.
