Sometimes, you notice a few ugly and hard spots on the face especially around the cheeks and the eye area. These spots are nothing but, are oil bumps known as milia. Oil bumps are keratin-filled cysts which do not burst like pimples and are also harmless. Oil bumps are generally caused due to a dead skin cell, clogged pores, sun damage, blisters etc on the skin. Although these bumps do not harm your skin, here we mention you some easy remedies to get rid of them.

1. Castor Oil:
Due to antibacterial properties in castor oil, it helps to treat several skin problems. This magical oil is beneficial for treating oil bumps on face. Take a ½ spoon of castor oil and heat it in the microwave for a few seconds. Now, massage your skin with this oil and leave it overnight. Wash off in the morning with cold water. This will help to treat the oil bumps and prevent from occurring again.
2. Pomegranate Peel Powder:
Pomegranate peel powder is rich in vitamin C and also contains astringent properties which help to exfoliate your skin thereby, treating the bumps on the skin. You need to remove the pomegranate peel and dry them under the sun. If needed, you can roast them until it turns brown. Now, blend them in a grinder and make a powder. Apply some milk to the paste and rub it on your face. Leave it on for few minutes and wash off with lukewarm water.
Steaming your face can help to prevent the clogged pores on the skin and also treats the oil bumps equally. It helps to remove dead skin cells and also treats the debris from the skin. Just dip a towel in hot water and squeeze out the excess. Now, place this towel on your face gently for a few minutes and then remove it. Repeat this process for some time and do this everyday to get rid of the oil bumps.
Due to the presence of citric acid in lemon, it helps to pull out the dust and debris from the face. It helps to dry the excess oil from the face and also removes the dead skin cells. Rub some lemon juice on your face and allow it to dry for some time. Wait for some time and wash off with cold water. Repeat this process twice a day.
5. Potato Juice:
Due to astringent properties found in potato juice, it can help to absorb the excess oil from your face and remove the dead skin cells. Peel one potato and grate it. Now, extract the juice and apply evenly on your face. Allow it to dry and wash off with cold water. If needed, you can also rub potato slices directly on the skin.
6. Sandalwood and Rose Water:
A combination of rose water and sandalwood can help to get rid of the excess oil and dead skin cells thus, treating the oil bumps. Mix two spoons of sandalwood powder and add some rose water to it. Now, mix both the ingredients to make a paste and apply it on your face. Wash off with cold water. Repeat the process daily to get rid of the oil bumps.
7. Fenugreek Seeds:
Fenugreek seeds are an excellent ingredient in treating the oil bumps on face. It helps to remove dead skin cells easily and also removes the extra oil from the face. Take some fenugreek seeds and soak them in water overnight. Make a paste and add a ½ pinch of turmeric powder to it. Apply on your face and wash off with water. Use this as a face mask in the morning to get rid of the oil bumps.
8. Aloe Vera Gel and Turmeric Mask:
Take one spoon of aloe vera gel and mix one spoon of lemon juice and a pinch of turmeric powder. Mix them together and massage your face with this mixture. Aloe vera and turmeric mask prevents accumulation of oil and removes debris from the face. Using this face mask can help to prevent oil bumps at the earliest.
