8 Natural Hair Packs for Healthy Hair – DIY

1. Henna Pack:
This pack is effective in treating dandruff and helps treat the dry scalp.

Ingredients:
• 3 tsp of henna juice
• A glass of black tea
• 2 eggs
• 4 tsp yogurt
• Juice of half a lemon
• A tbsp of olive or coconut oil

Method:
Blend some henna leaves without adding any water and extract its juice. Take a glass of black tea and add this juice to it. Allow it to stay overnight. The next day, add all of the remaining ingredients and apply on your hair. Leave it for 2 hours before washing off preferably with cold water. You may use a mild shampoo if you want.

2. Egg Pack:
Egg provides the essential proteins necessary for hair growth. This pack helps to strengthen your hair roots.

Ingredients:
• An egg yolk
• A tbsp of castor oil
• A tbsp of honey

Method:
Mix all of the ingredients to a paste and apply it over the hair and scalp. Wear a plastic shower cap and wrap your hair. Wash off after half an hour. For best results, use this pack thrice in a week. Using both the egg white and the yolk will also give you good results.

3. Hibiscus Pack:
This pack will give you supersilky, smooth hair and shine.

Ingredients:
• A cup of hibiscus flower petals
• Few tsp of olive oil

Method:
Soak the petals of the flower in water overnight. Next day, blend the petals into a paste and add some teaspoons of olive oil to it. Apply this mixture liberally on the scalp and wash off after an hour.

4. Banana Pack:
Banana can impart softness to your hair. If you have dry and rough hair, then do give this highly beneficial hair pack a try!

Ingredients:
• 2 overripe bananas
• Few tsp of olive oil

Method:
Blend the bananas and add the olive to it. Apply it on your hair and wash off after an hour with lukewarm water.

5. Potato Pack:
This pack controls hair fall.

Ingredients:
• A potato
• 2 tbsp of aloevera gel

Method:
Peel off the skin of a potato and grate it. Squeeze it with your hand and extract its juice as much as you can. Add the aloe vera gel to this juice and mix it very well. Apply on your scalp and massage for a few minutes. Leave it for two hours before washing it off.

6. Tender Coconut Pulp Pack:
This pack will give you healthy and shiny hair.

Ingredients:
• Tender coconut pulp

Method:
Collect the pulp of a tender coconut and lightly heat it in a saucepan. Apply this mixture covering the roots to ends. Wrap your hair with a warm towel and leave it for an hour. Wash it off with a mild shampoo and allow your hair to air dry. Applying coconut milk and leaving it for half an hour is also good for your hair.

7. Fenugreek Pack:
This pack treats dandruff and imparts softness to your hair.

• 1/2 a cup of fenugreek seeds
• A cup of water

Method:
Soak half a cup of fenugreek in water overnight. Blend it to a smooth paste and apply and massage your scalp and hair with it. Wash it off with normal water after 20 minutes.

8. Urad Dal Pack:
This pack strengthens your hair, and treats split ends and breakage.

Ingredients:
• 3 tbsp urad dal
• Water
• An egg
• 1 tbsp lime juice
• A cup of yogurt

Method:
Soak the urad dal overnight and blend it into a smooth paste. Add the rest of the ingredients to it. Apply it on your scalp and leave it for half an hour. Wash it off in cold water.
