Large pores on our skin can be a result of aging, the type of skin, genetics and exposure to sunlight. Women have a tendency of trying various ways to reduce the prominence of skin pores. While pores are important for your health, pores don’t necessarily have to be highly noticeable on your skin. When bunged with oil or when they are affected, pores are normally enlarged. Learning how to shrink pores can help you deal with the highly obvious ones on your skin.
1. Avoid excess washing
When we wash our face, it tends to dry out. This causes excess production of oils which makes the pores appear highly enlarged and the skin oily.
2. Use yogurt
Yogurt dissolves the impurities present in the pores with the help of lactic acid, this helps to decrease the size of the pores. It also reduces fine lines. To use, apply a small amount of yogurt on your face and leave it for 10 minutes. Wipe it off using a soft cotton cloth. Be careful to rinse your face after.
3. Use ACV as toner
Mix water and apple cider vinegar and store. Use a cotton pad and apply all over your face. This will reduce inflammation, tighten skin and reduce pore size.
4. Clay masks
Clay masks work by drawing oil and water from your skin. It shrinks your pores making them smaller. It has a detoxifying nature that squeezes the skin pores to get rid of any oils and water percolated in them. Apply the clay mask all over your face but do not let it dry for a long time; otherwise, it can be irritating.
Exfoliators remove the excess dead skin from the surface and leave the skin soft and supple. Be careful to use an exfoliator which is not harsh on your skin and does not irritate the skin.
6. Egg white
Egg white naturally has a property of tightening the skin. It shrinks huge pores and provides shine to your face. Open the pores by first washing your face with warm water. Mix egg white with lemon juice to reduce the smell. Apply it and leave for 15 minutes. Wash it with warm water and finish with a moisturizer.
7. Lemon juice
This is a good way of reducing pores and fine lines for people with oily skin. Dry skinned beauties should avoid this method. Apply lemon juice with a cotton ball and leave for 5 minutes. Wash with cold water and apply an oil-free moisturizer.
8. Almond meal
Place almonds in a blender and get an evenly blended product. Mix with water to form a paste. Apply on skin and leave for 30 minutes. Wash it with lukewarm water and clean it with a clean cloth. This can be used 2-3 times a week.
