Winters are here in Delhi. It is time to bring on your winter style game and layer various pieces to make a stylish outfit. If you have layered your pieces nicely then they make for a great outfit, and if not then they can make you look slouchy and heavier than usual. In today’s post let’s talk about some layering essentials that you definitely need this season.
You can get more wear out of your summery scarves by using them with your winter clothing. Bright and vibrant scarves in various fabrics make for a great layering for almost any season.
2. A collared blouse
A vibrant collared blouse peeking out of your greys and neutrals look really chic and provides an unexpected backdrop. It also adds just the right amount of colour and edge to an otherwise simple outfit.
They are warm, they are cosy and they are perfect when you want to layer things up. You will be able to layer your turtleneck over a midi dress, under your blazer or even your summer jumpsuit. You can get them in so many colours. You should at least buy them in black and blue colours.
4. Long cardigan
You can throw this over your short dress, casual jeans, shorts, skirts or anything for that matter. A long cardigan looks good with almost anything and everything. So it is definitely a must-have as you get variety of options to layer this with.
I am a sucker for cute socks with different and vibrant fun prints. You can wear them in so many ways. They can really make an outfit look chic and girly in an instant. So stock up on them and lots of them!
6. Colourful tights
Winters are not all about sea of black, navy, and gray colour combinations. Get the colourful tights for yourself this season and have fun experimenting and layering with them.
7. Sweater dress
A good sweater dress can be your answer to those days when you can’t make out what to wear. You can just wear a sweater dress with knee high boots. If it is cold outside then you can layer your black tights with the boots too.
8. A skirt
Skirt can be worn all year around. They look so feminine and elegant in every season. You can pair it with a chunky cropped sweater, delicate knit cardigan, blazer or tailored blouse with a warm legging underneath.
9. A statement tee
I think this is a no brainer. You might be having so many tees in your wardrobe already. You can wear those tees with almost anything from slouchy sweatshirts to chic skirts. They go with everything.
