This post is a continuation of A day at Blossom Kocchar Day Spa Part 1.This post will cover the different types of massages that are offered at the spa. I have added the related videos along with the images to give you a clear idea of what exactly is each massage about.
That’s where you enter the main spa.
Thai and Shiatsu Massage: It is a dry massage (without oil) and is done over the clothes. Guests are given special organic clothes to wear before the massage. The main focus of this massage is concentrated towards stretching and pressure points. The canopies add a royal touch to the massage. It si quite an erotic massage. 😛 Massage duration: 60-90 minutes.
Chakra or Hydro Colour therapy Massage: This massage is done to balance the 7 chakras of the body. The massage starts with body scrubbing and then coloured lights are opened to penetrate the light through the open pores of your body. After which the shower is given with coloured lights on or the guest can shoose to take a steam bath as well. Massage duration: 60-90 minutes.
- White Light: White is the main colour that balances all other chakras of the body.
- Red Route Chakra
- Yellow- Stomach
- Orange- Abdomen
- Green Chest
- Blue -Thyroid
- Light Yellow- Esophagus
Balinese Massage: The water fountain is the main component of the Balinese Massage. In Bali , it is believed that water is the main medium for body healing. Also the real Balinese massage is done in nature. Here they have tried to recreate the feel by adding banboos, stones, water fountains etc . It is a dry massage followed by an oil massage. Strokes are done in specific balanced way to improve the blood circulation. Massage Duration : 60-90 minutes.
Reflexology for feet: This area is located on the first floor of the spa. The main component of this massage are the typical Kerela Chairs that the forefathers used to use for relaxing. The masseuses work on the sole area where they massage for a couple of minutes and then they put pressure on the particular areas of the feet to de stress the client.
I got this massage done. it was so relaxing that I almost fell off to sleep. 😛 The massage was done using the hot towels, and foot massage cream and lasted for good 30-40 minutes. I didn’t want the masseuse to stop only. 🙂
Look our for part 3 where I would be posting about the ayurvedic massage, aromatherapy, bridal an lots more. 🙂
PS: My services were sponsored by the company. I only paid for the tips. 🙂
