My Experience with Aesop Purifying Facial Exfoliating Paste

Today I am sharing one of the most amazing facial exfoliators I have used till date. Honestly, I haven’t used a face scrub that is this deep cleansing, purifying yet mild on the skin as this one. Aesop Purifying Facial Paste is a pasty looking grainy face scrub. The granules are small and coarse but they are gentle enough so that they are not too harsh on the skin. I’d still suggest that you keep the pressure minimal while using this and let the granules do their job.

The texture is pasty – almost like a creamy clay paste and the kinds that you could go on and on giving massage to your skin. It almost feels like you are exfoliating your skin with a thick creamy mask.

This also contains lactic acid which is a powerful form of Alpha Hydroxyl Acid. It is meant to prevent breakouts, appearance of wrinkles and signs of ageing. Rosemary leaf is also useful in treating acne, prevents signs of ageing, heals burns and soothes skin.

The fragrance is very therapeutic – a mix of lavender, rose and herbal(y) oils. It is very relaxing and totally calms you down. That is one reason I love to use this scrub especially in evenings after a long day.I would however like to mention that if you are used to of using nice smelling perfumed products, the fragrance is not something you’d enjoy. It’s very earthy and may almost smell like a herb to you.

I just need a dime size for full face. It spreads easily with some water. It feels gentle on the skin. You know with some exfoliators you feel they are drawing out the impurities from your skin.. this kind of feels like that every time you use it. It gets rid of all the dead skin, dry patches, white heads and even keeps black heads at bay with regular use. It leaves skin looking and feeling so clean and refreshed. It is almost like a home spa.

On my next trip to Europe, I think I am going to stock up on many tubes of this. I am almost worried what will I do when this tube gets over. 😛

The scrub is good for people for all skin types.

It rinses of easily without leaving any granules behind. Plus, it does not dehydrate my skin or make my feel stretchy. My skin feels comfortable but I do moisturise my skin after using any exfoliator.

It has never irritated my skin. And my skin had been madly sensitive oflate. But this scrub has been a winner throughout.

      1. Whatttt!!!! I had no clue Aesop is available in Japan. Just now I checked their website and the moment it opened it was all in Japanese, I literally screamed and my husband was like – What happened, is that an earthquake? Gonna visit the nearest store ASAP! Thanks Rati, kisses to you! 😀
