My Experience with Aesop Volumising Shampoo
I took a bit of break from using Aesop products because I was having all kind of mixed experiences. So I stopped and started using other things. But then I returned back to using these products and some of them have become my real favourites. One of them is this volumising shampoo.

Aesop Volumising Shampoo comes packaged in standard minimalist brown bottle with black flip top cap. The cap has a small opening that helps control the amount of product you want to use.

It is a clear gel shampoo. I’d call this a mild shampoo. Even on days when I have not oiled my hair, I have to use this shampoo twice to really get the clean scalp feeling. It does not lather up too much but is not the flat-no-lather kinds shampoo as well. I find it very satisfying to use this shampoo because it feels gentle on the scalp, cleans the hair and leaves hair soft. It has never caused any hair fall as well to my hair.

Coming to what it claims- volumising. It is a brilliant volumising shampoo. You’d notice how much volume it adds to the hair in my photo below. It really adds body and life to the hair and I absolutely love that about it.

The shampoo has a herbal(y) pepperminty-rosemary fragrance. The smell does not linger on for long, which I think is a good thing. I think with all Aesop products you have to get used to the fragrance of the products. They smell very earthy and natural – totally not the kinds we are otherwise used to. I am not a fan but after using so many Aesop products I have gotten used to them.

I am already half way through the bottle. Given a chance I’d definitley repurchase it. It gives that perfect beachy wavy healthy look the hair with least effort.
I only wish it were easily available and it smelled a bit nicer.

  1. Nice review. For me, I am in love with Kama Ayurveda Patchouli shampoo and conditioner. The way my hair smell for the whole day and the way it has improved my hair’s texture is worth all the praise. 🙂

    1. it is not available in india and unfortunately they dont ship it in india yet. 🙁 picked up from paris. It’s available all across europe, usa and australia.

  2. Rati di, loved the review! I want to ask something, you used to love loccitane. Which one do you prefer now, the repairing shampoo by loccitane or this ? And given a chance, which one will you pick up again ?
