Ahava Mineral Radiance Cleansing Gel Review

Hello everyone,

Today’s review is on Ahava Mineral Radiance Cleansing Gel. I recently purchased a few products from the brand Ahava. I decided to try this particular brand’s products after doing a bit of research and found them interesting. Ahava is an Israeli cosmetics company which manufactures skin care products made of mud and mineral-based compounds from the Dead Sea. Ahava is the only cosmetics company licensed by the Israeli government to mine raw materials from the Dead Sea. I always wanted to use the mud of Dead Sea on my skin, but it hasn’t happened yet, so till I visit Israel, I need to stick to Ahava 😛 All their products are paraben and SLS/SELS free. They are also allergy tested which is a boon for people with extremely sensitive skin. The products are not tested on animals and also produced without petroleum and harsh synthetic ingredients or GMOs. I feel it has all the benefits one can ask for in a skin care product.

My Experience with Ahava Mineral Radiance Cleansing Gel:

Let’s start with the face wash review. The face wash comes in a plastic tube with a screw lid. The packaging is with grass green and silver colors. The material used is also good. It comes in an outer cardboard packaging. The only thing that I do not prefer is the screw lid cap for face wash. Most of the face washes that I have used come with a flap lid and they are convenient to open and close in the shower with wet hands. The product oozes out while trying to close the lid during the first few days.

The face wash itself is clear, transparent in color. I use half a hazelnut-sized amount for my face and neck. The product does not foam at all since it is free of SLS. I was expecting it that since I knew it’s free of SLS the first time I used, but the product is so well made that it spreads like a gel and one can feel skin getting clean and soft during use.

It also washes off easily with water and does not irritate eyes or skin. The fragrance is slightly herbal. The fragrance is not overpowering and feels pleasant. I love the fragrance as it is nothing very fancy.

The product gets rid of all dirt from the face and also takes off makeup traces. I can feel my skin getting soft and radiant. It does not irritate my sensitive skin and also does not leave it dry. This product is supposed to protect skin from pollution and hence I use it in the mornings before heading out. The breakouts on my skin also look much calmer after using this cleansing gel. I find the product to be really effective and would definitely recommend it to everyone. Yes, it’s quite expensive but worth the investment.
