Aishwarya Rai at Cannes 2012
Once a stunner, always a stunner, I would like to say. Even though her post-pregnancy weight gain was termed to be of national importance, I thought it was very unfair for her to be targeted like this. Anyway, she made the much-anticipated appearance at Cannes 2012 where she has been a regular since many years and she chose to go traditional in an Abu Jani- Sandeep Khosla ensemble (correct me if I am wrong). Her hair and makeup is absolutely stunning and yes, there are no chubby cheeks!
she was a soooper model…but now she looks like a yummy mummy…i dont see her as a model anymore:-(

Agree with RAZIA, moreover her make-up is making her face look thin too. Whatever it is, she looks absolutely stunning to me. She did it again in Cannes!!!

her makeup is great but somehow the dress looks like a sack 🙁 dowdy types..she could have easily worn a embellished saree! classic drapes always loo elegant

Am I the only one who thinks it IS a saree??? Even the newspapers said that she’ll be wearing an off-white Abu-Sandeep saree… I thought this was the one and that she has taken the pallu to the front!

Yes Shilpi… searched on the Internet for it! 🙂 It is a saree as the papers said… She wore a maxidress for a photo op as well.. and she looks like a million bucks in that as well… Awesome makeup and hairdo in that!!!

Waise individualy i lyked her saree n blouse a lot, but overall its not complementing her! Moreover her hairdo is giving her a rather more mature luk!

Yup! It is a Abu-Sandeep cream and gold saree with chikan work. Loved her blouse, awesome work on it! But I think she should have done up hair differently…. though her makeup is absolutely stunning! 🙂

i hated her blouse too… but i think she has chosen it cause it definitely draws attention away from her face… loved her eyes…. anybody noticed the blush application very low on the cheeks? in closeups elsewhere its like both sides of her mouth…is it slimming to do that… im not much of a makeup person… so somebody here please check it out 🙂 Also what about the lipstick??

SHe is stunning! I dont get the point of media getting crazy on her weight! she is healthy and taking her sweet time to lose extra kgs, what is the big deal! should a new mother neglect her immediate duties and jump to gym to lose weight! crazy! SHe actually looks real with her cute chubby cheeks!

i think her top could be a little simpler. her saree has patterns , her top has patterns and is shimmery, she is dressed a bit OTT. as for her extra weight, i think she looks better chubby… its not the weight thats a problem its the all over the place outfit. would want her to be a bit more understated

Totally agree with Raji..let her enjoy her motherhood…instead of criticize we should appreciate every mother in the world for the care she provides to her baby and I guess she is the one who is doing her job very well..
i have seen every ash hindi and tamil movie (latest robot) because i like to watch her beautiful face even though her acting is bleh… everybody is forgetting that the emphasis is on her fashion style, not her being a yummy mummy.. at the end of the day this golden armour+lizard skin is a horrible outfit.. if any other person had worn it we would have become fashion police n criticized it.. its just an ugly garish jacket/outfit.. its hurting my eyes.. still cant love anything of it… 🙂
