My Experience with Algenist Firming and Lifting Eye Gel:

It comes in a sturdy pump dispenser. The bottle is not see through which does help the ingredients to be stable, but also is a problem to know when you are running low.

Texture: As the name states, this is an eye gel. The texture and consistency is not too thick or heavy, instead it is easy to spread. A little goes a long way and I find that I need barely half a pump for both eyes. I use a tiny bit and dab it around my eye area, including the orbital bone and eyelids with my ring finger. It gives a slight cooling sensation but it does go away quickly. The gel instantly soothes and refreshes the skin around the eye. It takes a couple of minutes for it to sink into the skin, but it does sink in completely without any greasy slippery residue.
Due to this quality, this eye gel is perfect for day time use, on bare skin or even under makeup. I did not find it to adversely affect how my concealer sits on top. It does not affect its longevity, but it does help my concealer to go on smoothly on the well-moisturized area.

You could also use this product at night time and it would be ideal for those who prefer a less heavy alternative to eye creams, but if you have extremely dry eye area, you would be better off using a creamier alternative which will provide you with more hydration that you seek.

Results: Regarding the firming and lifting claim, I am still in my mid 20s hence I do not have a whole of fine lines and crow’s feet, but I do believe in prevention being the best cure. I do find that this eye gel keeps the skin around my eye well hydrated and supple. I do find that it does improve the elasticity of that area, my eye area seems smoother. Will it help erase wrinkles, I doubt that, but it will keep that eye area looking more toned.

Fragrance: It does have a very mild scent. It is a very clean refreshing scent, there’s nothing off-putting or overpowering about it.

Overall, this is a decent eye gel. Do I think it is worth the high price tag? No, not really. I did not notice a world of a difference in my eye area when compared to a whole lot of eye creams that I have used in the past, but if you have had a difficult time finding an eye product to wear under your makeup during daytime which does not make your concealer crease and slide while at the same time providing the hydration and lightweight feel, this is excellent for that. I will recommend this eye gel, but I will not repurchase it as I do like trying new items.
