I am in love with Almay lipsticks because they are so buttery, smooth and affordable. They feel so light and smooth on the lips. I have used Revlon lip butters in the past and had loved them. My favorite shade is Pink Truffle. I wanted to try Maybelline Color Whispers but unfortunately they were out of stock in all the local drug stores. So, I gave up and found these Almay lip butters, which apparently have good review online and look like Revlon Lip Butter.

My Take on Almay # 120 Red Medium Smart Shade Butter Kiss Lipstick:

This is my third lipstick from this range and I love it more than the last shade, Red-Light/Medium that I reviewed. It was a bit too sheer and was not that fascinating. This shade is a darker version of the previous shade that I reviewed but is formulated for dusky skin tones.

Packaging:
It looks like Revlon Lip Butter except that the cap has a smooth finish rather than an engraved diamond finish. The cap has a snug fit and does not open while I keep it in purse or pocket. The aluminum case that holds the stub is in the color similar to the lipstick shade, which makes identification easier.

Texture:
It is super creamy and buttery in texture but since it is so buttery, large quantity gets consumed in a single swatch. So, regular usage will deplete the product fast. It glides on easily and I would not recommend a thick layer of lip balm underneath, as it makes the entire process cumbersome. A sparingly applied lip balm should suffice.

Color:
Red color with brown undertones and gives a cream shine finish.

Pigmentation:
It has an appreciable pigmentation as this is the only lipstick that looks pretty on my dark lips, without a lip liner underneath. They do not have high pigmentation nor do they claim to have, but still somehow looks natural and effortless on the lips.

Shimmer and Shine:
It has a creamy shine that looks natural and is perfect for office wear and for day looks.

Fragrance:
The product has no fragrance, which I personally like.

Conclusion:
This shade is red but can be easily worn with any look and at any time of the day. It looks pretty on all types of skin tones, especially dusky tones and goes with all sorts of dresses. I like the way they have classified shades as per skin tone as there are colors for fair, medium and dark skin. The last two genres are perfect for Indian skin tone. They are very smooth but stay put between meals. I had to touch it only once throughout the day and it did not leave a stain behind. It feels very light and is easy to remove with any makeup remover.

• Quantity is not that great.
• Large quantity gets consumed in one swatch.
• Needs touch ups between meals.

Yes, I would repurchase and would try out other shades as well. I recommend it to all those, who are on the lookout for good lip products. If you enjoy Revlon Lip Butters, then they you will enjoy these for sure too.
