My Experience with Almay One Coat Get Up and Grow Waterproof Mascara:

I have heard rave reviews about this mascara, which made me buy it the moment I saw it at Walgreen.  Let’s see if it has lived up to the hype.  I got the waterproof version of it. It comes in a non-waterproof version as well.  The mascara comes in a white tube. The formula is a little dry.  The brush picks up enough product for one eye. I have to dip it again for the other eye, it dries pretty soon.

The mascara wand has a big brush which is designed to provide length to the lashes. As per their claim, it lengthens the lash naturally and beautifully, but I can’t just agree with their one coat claim. I have to run the brush multiple times across the lashes to get the desired effect.

As it is not a wet formula, I don’t wait between consecutive coats. I typically do 4-5 coats continuously. More than that, clumps the lashes some times.

I have not faced any smudging with this mascara. Note that the weather is cold here, so not sure how it will be in the summer months.

Swatches:

The good fact about this mascara is that it does not make the lashes stiff or spiky.  Even after multiple coats, my lashes are flexible, which would prevent them from breaking.

Pros of Almay One Coat Get Up and Grow Waterproof Mascara:

• Keeps lashes flexible throughout the wear which prevents the lashes from breaking.
• Great if you need natural-looking lashes with added length.
• Does not smudge.
• Dries quickly.
• Does not irritate the eyes.
• Easy to remove with eye makeup remover.

Cons of Almay One Coat Get Up and Grow Waterproof Mascara:

• Might clump if you do too many coats.
• Does not add much volume.

If you are looking for a mascara to give a dramatic volume, then this is not the right one for you. I would call it a good everyday mascara for that natural-looking lashes.  I am quite liking it.
