My Take on Almay Pure Blends Lip Gloss:
It is the most horrible-smelling gloss I have ever come across. The consistency is so weird, its okay only at a certain temperature. I think it was fine in summers, but undoubtedly the most weirdest-smelling and the most weird-consistency gloss. I couldn’t even spread it properly. The smell is too plastic type to make me believe its organic. The gloss in itself is very bizarre.
Coming to the colour, its a nude shade, washes me out completely. I should have known that my skin tone is not meant for these kind of colours. I picked it up in one of those “let me see how this looks on me” moods. It has been a sheer waste. Apart from the organic claim, I am trying hard to think what is so nice about this lip gloss.
Pros of Almay Pure Blends Lip Gloss:
- Available in a variety of colours.
- Easily available at Walmart, Target, etc.
- Its cheap for a lip gloss. I picked it up for 6 dollars I think and you can pick them up for as low as 2 dollars in those “buy one get another one” sales.
- When applied correctly, it is extremely moisturizing.
Cons of Almay Pure Blends Lip Gloss:
- The colour is a mismatch for my skin tone, I am very wheatish, the very Indian skin tone.
- The consistency, smell and the gloss on its own. There are many better options available out there and I would like to tell Almay that if they really had to make it organic, please make a gloss a gloss at least.

Good grief! 😯 What a disappointment this must have been! :spank: I got excited reading that the gloss was paraben-free. So much for that if it can’t even serve its regular purpose. :headbang: Glad it’s not available in India. I’d have surely fallen for the whole “organic” schpeel. :silly:
